I think this is Pat's last game

An Elite 8 appearance is a good, successful way to end things..I think it became obvious that she just isn't capable of being the same coach she once was..I hope she retires on a solid note like this instead of a bad one.

Exactly.

First and foremost, those closest to her should be thinking about Pat being able to retain her dignity. This awful disease can cause a person to behave irrationally and uncharacteristically at the drop of a hat. No one needs to see Pat do something that she normally would have never done when lucid. It could happen right on the sidelines and then EVERYONE in the country the next day is watching her lose her dignity on SportsCenter and YouTube. If either one of her sons are encouraging her to continue coaching( I hope to God they're not) they need their asses kicked.

Equally important is the state of the program. If Pat remains coach, the program will continue to decline, where at some point, it might not be recoverable back to national prominence.

I hope it is her last,as much as she had given to Tennesse .hope she can kick back and just relax. Even if she didn't have old timers she deserves the break....i wish she would have retired five years ago so she could have had more enjoyment . I love you pat.tears in my eyes

Sorry, but it's not that easy. The program has declined drastically the last few years due to this illness. It cannot afford any more drop-off.

Simply not true. The first signs of the disease came along during the latter part of 2010.
