This is the very definition of a coachspeak answer to job rumors. "I'm happy where I am, I hope to be here a long time" is what they always say. It's when they edge over into "I'm not going anywhere. I will be at ______ next year" that it supposedly becomes definitive. That's why the sportswriters gave Saban so much crap; he crossed over that that invisible line so the media guys felt lied to.

Compare these comments by Stoops to what Cutcliffe said, for example.

Stoops has moral standards unlike Satan.

You can take Stoops off the list.

Stoops makes even less sense than Gruden. For one thing, his buyout is over 5 mil. Then we would have to give him over 4 mil in salary. Then we would have to pay for all the asst.

This isn't helped by the fact that some of the booster money raised is rumored to be specifically tied to Gruden. I'm not saying its JG, but Stoops coming here just does not add up.
