I dont like to slam a prospect but Rogers has more off field issues than Ambles. He got kicked out of his 1st school for getting into a fight with his coach.

Yes, he visited here last week. His high school QB who is a model student and current Vandy commit appears to really like UT and some are hoping that that could swing Rogers to Rocky Top. Lets all cross are fingers. Its a long shot but Rogers, like Ambles, seems to have all of the intangibles of a great college WR.

The more I read about Ambles, the more I become concerned about his attitude. I think that by 2012, we willl very happy we have Hunter and not Ambles.

I read that but my impression was QB was solid on vandy but you never can tell about these high school kids.

Yes that is all rumor and opinion! Didn't realize I was testifying in front of the VolNation jury, or I would have found "concrete" evidence to support a statement I made on a forum that is 97% rumor and opinion based!

Just because Ambles is very full of himself doesnt mean he will wreck the team and as far as I know has never had any off the field issues. Furthermore when Ambles was a UT commit he recruited for us just as hard as Jac Smith or Corey Miller are now during the Army AA game and that whole week during practice. No need to rip him now because he's a cocky 18 year old IMHO. Certainly no need to rip him for going to USC where he thinks he has a better shot of making it to the pros as a WR. He is not scared of competition as he was trying to recruit Prater to UT before the whole X debockle and I actually thought that we might have had a pretty decent shot with him too. Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

I had a class with the guy in McClung...I'll say this...it was in the auditorium and it was "just the right size" to fit his ego in.

Also, TIFWIW, but I had some friends at the Lacrosse house who said he pulled a "do you know who I am?" when KPD showed up @ one of their parties...

I understand and accept my place as a bitter fan, I had high hopes for this kid, really I did! But anybody who wants to NOW associate with Lane Kiffin has questionable character IMO!

Ok I gotcha and I understand your point, I just hate ripping a kid for playing for who he wants to play for. Everyone who says you commit to a school is full of crap. No one commits completeloy to a school or a coaching staff in my opinion. It should probably be about 50/50. If he wants to play for Kiffin and go to USC and work his ass off to see the field there than thats good for him. Right now I'll bet he sees USC as a better path to the NFL than UT and I think he's probably right in assuming that. I hope though as any Vol fan should that that is not the case within 2 or 3 years.

Also according to another poster the draw is apparently Monte. LOL!!

And I see your last post and I understand about being frustrated, I promise, but be mad at the former staff who backstabbed us not an 18 year old kid who's making the biggest decision of his life to this point on what he thinks is best for him.

That happened to Ambles too; in addition to many, many other things. The kid is a disaster waiting to happen; Kiffy was just about the only coach still willing to take a chance on him when he was still at UT, and now that he's at USC. In fact, Ambles himself admitted that the previous USC coaching staff had completely quit recruiting him. Scout.com: Markeith Ambles Visits West Coast

Richt also rescinded his UGA offer. And he tried to commit to UF; but after the face to face with Meyer and staff, they wouldn't accept it.

Trust me, UT is much better off without that kid... what good is the most talented player if never sees the field because of off the field issues? It'd be like Perrilloux was for LSU... the most talented QB in the country with all the potential in the world. What he do for LSU? Helped them win 1 game... ONE, that's it.
