I saw him twice in 4 yrs. on TV at USC. He was the 87th pick in the 3rd round to Miami. Robert Meachem went 27th to the Saints and I saw him on TV virtually every week at UT. I'm willing to bet Meachem has a whole lot more spending cabbage than Turner :)

Well, by the time USC gets off probation Ambles will have figured out that Kiffin's next boyfriend was the next coupla 4 or 5 star WR commits from 2011 and 2012... and maybe even 2013. The man-crush will be over the day after National Signing Day.

John Brice from VQ said he did not think Ambles would end up at USC. He said he thought distance would end up being a factor for him. He said UT is still in the mix, but LSU is probably the one to worry about here.

Per ESPN boards (someone who works in AD apparently) CDD gave Ambles an ultimatum concerning an OV at UT. He wants to meet with him 1 on 1 and have him come in on an OV or can forget about the SO. Not sure how accurate this is. but it sounds rational.

Make a decision and quit with all the drama. I hope CDD did put the ball in his court and say look, Do you want to play here or not? If not, see ya, we got others who want to contribute.

It has really got ridiculous the last few years.

Sorry, but you don't pull the scholarship offer for a five-star WR. I don't think Ambles has to come to UT again to commit here. He's been here numerous times, and he has met our new coaching staff. It would be nice to get him in for the weekend, but it's not a deal-breaker considering how many times he's seen Knoxville.

I still get the feeling that we'll end up with one of Ambles or Rogers. Hope my gut is right.

Ambles would be a great get, especially if he's just messing with Kiffin.

But I agree with not holding the program hostage for him. No player is bigger than the program, even a 5 star wideout who will start on day 1.

Character questions have been raised, and CDD might want to see what he's getting himself into for the next 3 years. If this is indeed what is happening, I applaud the move.

Good for DD if true. Could backfire on him but so what? MA might just be one of those kids where you have to make it black or white for them.

If this situation is true then it wouldn't be a case of backfire at all. It's a win/win either way. (he commits and is a good soldier or he goes elsewhere and CDD doesn't have to worry about a cancer on the team)

Why would we threaten to pull his scholarship offer? It's not as if we have an almost full class. We will likely have room if he wants to come here on NSD. These rumors sound like nothing more. I highly doubt anyone in the AD would be posting on an ESPN message board. They're quite strict... trust me.

He met with him 1 on 1 at his house, when his dad said the new WR coach was "slick."

Or was that 2 on 1?
