No one should be ready to close the book on Dobbs imo. Jacob Carter played almost every snap after North got hurt, and there was no serviceable TE. Pig juggled a pass OOB, Smith dropped another catchable ball, Croom is too passive; routes were constantly cut short of the 1st down marker. Granted Dobbs had some poor throws, but he just wasn't getting a whole lot of help.
The redshirt year should do wonders for Ferguson, and if indeed he's as good as advertised he should wrap up the job this spring. It would be huge if Dobbs pushes him and is a solid #2, since the days of SEC starters going unscathed are a thing of the past.
