Jamelle Holieway won a Natl Championship with OU as a freshman. Terrell Pryor was B10 Freshman of the Year and only lost one game with the buckeyes.

Matt Barkley and Chad Henne had good 1st year seasons. Eric Ziere and David Green @ GA...Peyton had great numbers from the MSU game to the bowl beatdown of VT.

Dan Marino and Pitt were 11-1 and Fiesta Bowl champs in '79.

Better to say it's 'extremely rare' anywhere.

I got it, lets burn a kids redshirt that could be our starter for four more years starting next season, to satisfy my need to just see him play.

I remember when Carl Pickens was a freshman and the team was going through 5 or 6 straight loses Majors wanted to burn his redshirt and Pickens said no. Then he ended up leaving early.

Yeah and we seem what peterman could do against FL. You need to get over the loss and cut the computer off until after signing day. My gosh man you were probably one of the ones calling for Worley to be benched. News flash we don't have Peyton, Tee, or even Ainge anymore.

I'm pretty sure Greene was a redshirt freshman...Peyton's freshman year has been well covered...it didn't start going gangbusters until the Vandy game...was Marino a true freshman starter?...not sure about that one...shouldn't factor in one game against Kentucky

Not to mention Dobbs has lackluster body language...you can tell a lot about a person by their body .language....he looks terrified out there......Riley just looks like he has swagger and a winners mentality....Dobbs in comparison...even in photos looks like Bambi.

It's not the tatoo...I personally don't like tats.... its the way he holds himself and carries himself...body language tells slit about confidence and Dobbs is lacking .in that area. ARM strength sucks as well.

Sometimes the principle of "Least Worst" has to be respected. Butch and Co knew this all along. Although fans like OP would still be screaming for the FR because "they couldn't possibly be any worse".
If Justin was still healthy we would have won vs Vandy and be headed to a bowl imo. He was getting more comfortable in the system and beginning to make a few plays.

Analogy not accepted,that was before the dominance of and beatdown schdules in the SEC, and to boot all of those QBs are better than anything we have

Maybe he just likes to make tackles. Its probably not good having a guy at quarterback who likes to make tackles. You wonder if he throws picks just so he can tackle someone.

We get it you hate Dobbs. How many threads are you going to make? How do you know somone who hasn't played has swagger? The coaches said Dobbs was the alpha that the team looked up to. Not RF. Jd had passed RF before the injury. JD is a freshman who played great ds. He will remain the starter and do great.
