Riley was always the one warming up in earlier games and made every trip with the team unlike Dobbs who didn't even go with the team to the UF game and now we learn gust Riley had an injured tibia before the Bama game....so you are obviously wrong. Truth is Dobbs should have never seen the field....he is awful at throwing the ball.

So Butch lied? They were 2a and 2b on the depth chart. Then Dobbs passed him up. This is what CBJ himself said. Not so called anonymous insiders who said RF was a little ahead. I'll take coaches word.

And ill take who actually made all the trips with the team and was warming up first in games numerous times over BS coach speak. Not to mention coaches make depth chart mistakes all the time.

I tried searching for the phrase "butch says dobbs has passed riley on the depth chart" and lo and behold, the first result from google is one of your posts.

If Dobbs ever needs some SEO work done, he better look you up.

I cant say who is better....Dobbs or Ferg, but Ferg WAS the one warming up to go in during the USC game when Worley hurt his hand and they were not sure he would go back in. That should tell you Ferg was "ahead" of Dobbs at the time....then he got hurt and Dobbs was the ONLY option left

I listed successful true-freshman QBs in response to the poster who said there had never been "a world-beater first yr QB anywhere." He shouldn't have said 'never' - that was my only point.

That would not be a case of circular logic, but rather a case of the biggest Dobbs apologist on this forum continually spamming the Dobbs gospel at every opportunity. You would think that had Jones ever actually stated any of the claims along the "alpha" line, that they would have a bit more merit than a random post on VN. Odd that Jones saying any such thing just seems to have vanished into the ether. He did say that he had no choice but to start Dobbs, there is even a quote and everything:

No one knows if he is the next anything. I am smart enough to know that they aren't enough good QBs in this years class to recruit so you don't burn his redshirt donyou can build depth. You need to have some redshirts to stay redshirts so you can build depth. Dobbs was also highly recruited and was ranked higher. But since you are such an eye for talent why don't you out your resume in for a job with the school but since more thn likely no one on the coaching staff posts on this board quit the whinnying and root for the Vols or turn your fan card in.
