I was looking into the demise of the politics forum and I think I've found a pattern

Remember the good ol' days? Let's remember those who were once great posters in what was one of the best forums on the internet.

BPV - possible leader of the forum
OE - who I thought was the mod of this forum until I realized he was only a guru.
Tenntradition - our science officer ( a bit weak in the weapons department, though :) )
TRUT - the guy who gave me the most grief when I first posted here.
Hat - see TRUT (although not much for this forum)
Lawgator - always good for a laugh, let me know what to be on the lookout for with my Liberal friends.
Droski - His and BPV advice in money matters actually helped some of us.
Joevol - misguided young'in but updated us on all things Drudge.
KB - good for arguments, I liked that he doesn't seem to swing either direction.
MG - I am pretty sure this guy bashed me when I first came on here? So suck it.
Voldad - still bashing me since we could not agree to disagree about Hood or maybe he is just a douche?
RasputinVol - now that Obama is president, has gone on to other things.
Volinbham - BPV's fave I see more of a drive by hitter.
Nickknx - Joevol's counter-punch. Never realized arguing with an idiot only makes you angry.
utvolpj - I am sorry I forgot this guy on the original list.
Jtrain - army guy, so I don't listen to him much. Changes his avatar so much its hard to keep up with him.

I know I am missing a few individuals but its been a long time since there was some good debating going on in here. I may make an attempt to fix this since holiday stand down is here.

Volinbham is the reasoning leader of this joint. He's fiscally conservative and socially middle of the road or ambivalent, which makes him genius. He's the one guy with the patience to have the Rush is destroying the world debate with LG or the Evilution debate with Ronnie James Dio, who is like a Rainbow in the dark.

I just figured that the renewed Eden created by Obamas superb rule had made things so great that political debate was no longer needed. Oh well, back to my Frankenberries and chocolate milk, good day.

I know there is another guy that you and TRUT teamed up with when I first joined this board to take me on but its alluding me right now. Maybe it was MG or Voldad?

I think stickying that one thread for all of Lawgator's many right wing media rants and then another similar thread for gsvol's thought of the day would take care of things.

What can I say. I probably spent half the time on here arguing with him until I said "the hell with it", and put him on ignore.

Oddly enough, that's part of the reason I can't read 3/4ths of the threads on here. And the sad thing is, I've only iggy'd joevol and another prominent poster, who's threads are taking up 80% of the first half of the first page.

From my perspective, three things have caused this.

One, we've come off of a political season and I think there is naturally some down time as no big news or comparisons to be made. I mean, how many times can we debate some of these same issues without running out of things to say?

Two, some of the argument IMO just got to be terribly disjointed.

Third, at times, folks just seem to overrun the place with too much agenda. We all have one, don't get me wrong. But at some point blasting the forum with the same stuff in a different package every few hours just gets tiresome.

Yeah, I think we all know the main problem.

I do miss the spirited debates on here. It just seems like it's been overrun lately.

Just make sure you don't get my son too inebriated if you run into him, I think he may still have an exam or two left. And if he does knock a few back with make sure my wife never hears of it, she may be small but she's quick!
