Ideas for potential O/C and D/C for Gundy or Strong

Randy Sanders could have averaged 475 yards of offense with our players. The entire offensive line will get drafted over the next 2 yrs, we had 2 first round WRs, an NFL TE, and an NFL QB. Combine all this together we won 5 games.

The Defense was historically bad, but establishing a running game and bleeding the clock at little bit would have provided much needed rest for the D.

Chaney's short and intermediate passing game was nonexistent. How many WR screens were callled this year?? I don't recall any, maybe 1 or 2 I missed. We had the most dynamic playmaker in college football and vastly underutilized him. Just look at Amari Cooper in the SEC Championship game. Dude caught at least 5 WR screens, which also gives the QB confidence by completing some easy throws.

I think Chavis just got a raise and I think he is still sore at us.

I think he was sour at Hammy, not Tennessee. He may like the challenge of rebuilding our defense. However, I am pretty sure he would not go to the 3-4 100% 0f the time.

I don't Think we need Kevin "WV hung 70 on me" Steele or Ron "let me make sure I have my fax machine" Zook. Zook & Pertino have the same morals...or lack thereof.

Too many media outlets are stating that Gundy to Arkansas seems more imminent. Dont shoot the messenger, I heard it on Sports Animal a few minutes ago. I would rather have Strong personally. Offense scores points but Defense wins championships.

I think Strong would do very well, but then, what the h-ll do I know.

i would like for either coach to keep graham, pittman, and chaney, then demote sal to lb coach so we could save the buyout money to some extent. i would want martin to replace hinshaw then bring in ellis johnson at DC. throw in some good dl, secondary, and st coaches and we would be in good shape. maybe hobby? idk...

I don't know if Tee Martin could handle offensive coordinator duties in the SEC by himself....he's never had that much control nor the experience

We averaged 475 yards of offense per game. How can you not want a guy that produces that? All while playing from behind because we had the worst defense in UT history.

Think a little.

I think it is pretty obvious.

Much of the reason for production is the fact that the defense wasn't on the field for very long. (And I don't mean that in a good way).

Also helps when you scrap much of the Kiffin terminology and use your own, which only added on to the growing pains in 2010 and 11.

Not a fan of him at all. Play calling is also suspect at the worst times.

You must be drunk. Chavis might have saved ole Les's job a few times. I know he did CPF.

I think that Chavis is a good coach, but I don't get why people say he saved the head coaches job. It's the head coaches job to hire good assistants. How many times have you ever heard someone say " man, he's a good coach, but his assistants suck."?

Gundy I would like him to go get Kevin Steele. Strong I would like him to go get Tee Martin and make him an Co-Oc and keep the one he already has

The last time I seen Steele calling a defence, he gave up 70 points, might rethink that.:eek:hmy:

Randy Shannon would be a great DC for either one. Also I would like to bring back Tee Martin and maybe make him co-OC or something.

I would like to see Graham and Pittman stay. Maybe Chaney, if he fits in with the new coach. Maybe Hinshaw. D coaches need to go unless new coach sees something in them that I don't.

I agree. The O-line and RB's performed very well this year. Graham and Pittman need to stay for sure. Chaney did well also.

The WHOLE defensive coaching staff needs to GO.

GBO VFL!!!!
