If Alabama loses what does that do for the Vols playoff picture wise?

That would really suck if Texas and Texas A&M had to play each other in 2 straight weeks.
It’s not possible anymore now that A&M lost to Auburn, but under the scenario that A&M had won, it’d pretty much go to

(1) Needing Tennessee to beat Vanderbilt

(2) Needing LSU to beat Oklahoma

And that looks like it would have been it/done it and had the two Texas teams play each other in back to back weeks.

TAMU losing now ensures they are behind us right now. If they lose to TX they are done. If they beat Texas but lose in the SECCG they are done. They only have a 1 in 3 chance of a positive outcome. I want that.
where’s the part they win the SECCG? That’s the worst case scenario right?

CFP Projection:
1. Oregon (Seed 1)*
2. OSU (Seed 5)
3. TX (Seed 2)*
4. Penn St (Seed 6)
5. ND (Seed 7)
6. Miami (Seed 3)*
7. UGA (Seed 8)
8. UT (Seed 9)
9. Boise St (Seed 4)*
10. SMU (Seed 10)
11. Indiana (Seed 11)
12. Bama
13. Clemson
14. Ole Miss
15. ASU (Seed 12) *

In this scenerio the Vols would need someone above them other than Oregon or OSU to lose to move up and host a game in the first round.

Next weeks games:
UT @ Vandy
GT @ UGA
ND @ USC
MD @ PSU
MIA @ SYR

I believe even if OR or OSU lose next week they would remain above UT. Whereas the Vols with a win over Vandy and a loss by ND or PSU would almost guarantee the Vols to host a 1st round game.
