If Barnes were to retire…

Danny White would go after a young offense minded coach. You going to have to deal with Gloden at Florida for years in basketball.
He already hired the number 1 offensive coach in the country. I would say he knows what he’s looking for. Also Golden has to survive swimsuit season in Florida without burning his career to the ground. Stay tuned.

North plains lifer. Born there, played there, and never coached outside of there. I'm sure he's had opportunities and never taken a single one. At 60 years old, I doubt he's interested in much else. We could double his salary, though, so maybe he wants to cash out in his final chapter. Just hard to see.
This. That said, Dana Altman had a similar situation and he left for Oregon $$$.

Are these coaches know for scoring? I think DW would prefer offense as that usually draws more fan interest.
Odom coached UMBC to that big upset over Virginia a few years back. He coaches a high powered offense.

McCollum wins everywhere he goes but grew up in Iowa and probably ends up coaching in that state.

Huss coaches a high scoring offense but is a Creighton alum and could be looking to replace McDermott soon.

Yes, but Altman was 10 years younger ehen he made that move, and despite growing up in Nebraska, he spent part of his playing career in New Mexico, then coached in Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, and West Virginia before settling in for a good while at Creighton. McDermott has literally never been outside of Iowa, Nebraska, or North Dakota and is 60 years old.

It's why I said similar. Well aware of the age difference and prior stops for Altman. General sentiment at the time was that he would be a tough pull as well given he had been at Creighton for 16 years.

Nate Oats would come in the blink of an eye, they are second fiddle forever in Tuscaloosa, camped out in the worn out and old Coleman Coliseum which with Stegman, the Hump and Memorial in Nashville are the old barns of the SEC.
