Well it's also a bit more difficult, I'm sure, to recruit to Minnesota than to UK. Either way, I'm not saying he'd be my 1st choice, but I wouldn't be upset if it did happen. I doubt it will, though.

I don't want someone who has a past national championship with someone else. I want someone who has the ability to win one at Tennessee.

Tubby did a great coaching job with that team. I honestly don't think that Pitino thought he was leaving a championship contender.

Tubby's problem is that he refuses to kiss AAU ass. It is hard to recruit elite talent that way, but he would do fine at UT. I think it would be a good fit. He would also do wonders for the program's image...immediately.

i don't know if the "tubby image" would be able to coincide with the "ut basketball image", at least the way it is now. and i'm not being a bia either. just when i think ut basketball i think run and gun, play fast, have fun. i don't wanna say undisciplined, but slightly. i've lived tubbyball. it would frustrate the hell out of you all.

speaking of Tubbs, 10 years ago my hs team played a KY highschool tourney over Christmas. teams got to stay at the hotel that's connected to Rupp and the championship game was in Rupp. got to see KY play some crap team. rode on the elevator with Tubby 2 or 3 different times while we were there. nice guy. Saul is a bag of D tho

I'd love to see solid defense and some semblance of a half court offense. The style of play would be much different.

If Pearl does leave we do NOT want Tubby. We want someone who is young and a good coach. Like Butler's coach. But rather Bruce stays.
