If Georgia fires their coach, are you worried about Dooley leaving?

Crap a coach as Dooley was, for him to dump us for another SEC team would've been bad for us. Future coach would have to work under a negative stain...not good for recruiting. Being able to fire him for not getting the job done was better in the long run.

Wasn't he begging Hamilton to fire him and let him have his buyout after the 2011 Kentucky game?

It seems stupid to me to fire both Les Miles and Mark Richt. Both are proven winners and have put a lot of players in the NFL. IF LSU fires Miles, he won't be unemployed long and neither will Richt. South Carolina and Missouri would both hire either of them.
 
This thread serves as a cautionary tale about unconditional coach-worship.

You can also take note that somehow others knew how to fire him after he got a proper chance. The one's screaming fire him from his date of hire ended up being right at the same time as everyone else. :wink2:
