To bail on the Vols because you don't like the new coach is ridiculous. I've think this coaching hire is a pivotal point for the Vols. The wrong move and it sets you back a decade. It's like your daughter comes home with a dirty meth addict and tells you they just got back from Vegas and her and your new son-in-law are giving you your first grandchild. Will you still love her? Of course. Will it take a few years and a lot of bruises and public shame for her to realize it was the wrong move? Sure. Will it take her years of therapy to get him out of her head? Probably. The point is, I still love the Vols just not their behavior.

You've now seen too very similar coaching searches. Numerous coaches pulling back the curtain on UT and deciding that it's not for them. There are much bigger systemic issues in place causing UT to be rejected.

I firmly believe that this goes all the way to the big 5 via Jimmy Cheek. His head should roll before Christmas, unfortunately, he would probably get a large portion of that 18 mill that HE gave back to the AD. The guy is an idiot of fantastic proportions. Cheek is where about 50% of the problems lie. The remainder are with the big money.

That's fine. You can cheer for the Vols and want that. Cheering for another team and dropping your allegiance to the Vols makes you no longer a fan, which gives you no right to complain as you are no longer a fan.

That is what is embarrassing. I don't particularly like the hire, I would never stop cheering or supporting though. Cause if support drops then you are just going to have this same situation the next time. Nobody wants the job for a reason, bat**** crazy fans who drop like flies and turn on you before you are even hired probably doesn't help any.

How many letters did you write and how many phone calls did you make and how much donation money did you withhold to "scream no"? Records of all please cause I am willing to bet the answer to the first two questions is none and at best a pair of season tickets to the 3rd (Bet you renew those too).

If your expectations are more than 7 wins year then you are bucking the historical average my man. The 90's were an aberration in the modern history of UT football.

0 I am just a casual fan. I don't call plays and recruit like apparently most of you on here do. I work on Saturday family to feed and all. I know your mad and I'm sorry it effects your life this much.

You know this is a tough one for me. I grew up in TN and have fond memories of UT games with my father. Remember the National Title game like it was yesterday. Eventually we moved to KY and out of state tuition costs prevented me from becoming a Vol. I ended up going to Louisville instead and still live in KY.

When you see moves like this that clearly show the university doesn't care about winning, it honestly does make me question why I still follow the team. I'm not one of those fickle people who is just going to stop supporting overnight. But I have to say...for the first time in my life, I'm actually considering it. And that's the scary part for me.
