Except Butcher Jones is not really a budget hire and you don't know how many games he will win. Dooley was a budget hire, Jones is way ahead of Dooley in terms of coaching pedigree. We won't get big names to come here cause this is just not the place people want to come at the time. Too much turmoil and too high of expectations considering the past decade. Not a good situation for someone proven to walk into. Nobody who is a big name is going to risk what they have just to coach Tennessee.

Time to fire Hart, Cheek, and Martin. Skeeter said Cheek and Martin are the two biggest problems. According to Ainge, we had Butch Davis with an excellent staff and Cheek stopped it. My guess is Martin had a lot to do with this. Ainge confirmed my suspensions about the AD Compliance staff not wanting to work for their pay check. We have a bunch of Nancy's in the AD and they all need to go. Skeeter has said about as much also.

MARTIN and CHEEK are the two that need to receive a lot of pressure about this FUBAR situation.

I'll cheer for Tennessee,however, I won't fly from ca to go To a game until we prove we are competitive.

The product we have put on the field the last several years hasn't been worth the cost.

I may not fly up to Oregon now.

I will be a casual fan. I won't waste any more money on going to any UT games or buy any more merchandise. I will not plan my Saturdays around UT football any more and won't allow myself to get so upset when we lose. The powers that be don't give a damn, why the hell should I?

I guess you feel like an idiot from your above post then? I am not mad, it is typical of UT. I expected nothing else than what happened. However, you are irate and it appears to be ruining your life. I don't know why you or anyone else expected anything different. UT has had to hire a coach 3 times in 35 years. Those have been in the last 3 years. I don't know where you get this self inflated view of yourself and UT. You obviously aren't an alum so have fun in Texass.

I can't root against Tennessee so it won't be a SEC team. I think I am gonna just root for Notre Dame, especially if they beat Bama.

tTn Glenn. I don't feel dumb no not at all. I started the thread with a simple question. I am tired of this crap administration gives the fans. I am a competitive person and love to win. I'm not talking about Tennessee football I'm talking about myself. Dude Tennessee has sucked for years!!!!!!!!!! I've been there all the way. But me as a person there is only so much I can take from leadership at Tennessee. I CANNOT CHANGE THAT!!!!!! So I am not supporting $ to this school anymore. Tix or merchandise. It's all about who you are as a person if your a strong person that will stand when they have had enough. Or are you weak and will lay down and take it.

Just heard Jim Rome interview the Arkansas coach. WOW!

I feel Arkansas truly did their fans right.

cheering is one thing...supporting...well, my planned giving is alocated in April, so, I have some time to think about it. However. as of today, this administration has not given the fanbase any remorse and apology from the last two hires as well as any promise and hope for the future, so, why should a fan actively support?

Now, why do they call the Big East the "Big Least" anyway?

The Tennessee Volunteers. I am a Vol fan until the day I die. I am a Vol fan on the rainy days as well as the sunny ones.

Coach Jones is our coach.....and I support him 100%. Don't understand anyone asking what team will you cheer for now? No true Tennessee fan would ask that. Wow! Jones will be a solid coach and lead up out of the woods I hope.

I live in bama and to just explain to all of you how bad this is. I had over 30 people waiting for me to walk into the office. All started busting out in laughter when I walked in. Bama fans said things like I was worried Tennessee would get a good coach. Not worried now. Auburn fans said they feel better about there hire now. That is the take from other fans. Good luck on the recruiting trail. I'm sure a guy that has never beat a top 25 team and has no southern ties is going to kill it.
