Of course you can "opt out". No one is forcing you to use your government funded health care. Just like no one is forcing you to use government built roads, or government funded police, or government funded fire services. You can "opt out" of all of those services.

It's sad that you believe our government would ever provide a palatable solution. Further, the smug approach here is pitiful. We're about to be handed to first step to a disaster, which could have been avoided by wiping out the antitrust exemption and pooling for preexisting conditions.

Care gets worse. They are using this bill to try and cut costs. You can't cut costs, and include more people without greatly diminishing the quality of care.

By the way, the 9th Amendment says:

"The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

Where does it say anything about healthcare?
