That has nothing to do with the services they provide. That's the biggest cost. A hospital is a government agency in it's own right, because there is a monopoly on intrastate healthcare and insurance. If people JUST had the choice to go to anyone they want to, anywhere in the country, I would say that premiums would go down 30% or more in 3-5 years.

Yes, I have insurance......... I want people who are poor and can't afford it to have insurance as well.... It's nice to not have to worry about if i get sick, how will i cover the costs. Others have a right to that as well.

No, I got my facts from it costing about $20,000 to stay in a hospital for five days without insurance.... I sure as heck can't afford that.

You know you can negotiate with a hospital right?? It's kinda like selling a car, and only getting trade-in value for it, instead of private sell, except the prices would be reversed and it would cost less for a private sell than a trade-in.

It is comperable to buying auto insurance after you have wrecked the car, and the Great Father in Washington forcing the company to pay. Then, of course, you stop paying your premiums until it happens again.

Yeah, especially those that feel that passing the healthcare crap and those that think that if you also pass immigration reform are steps in the right direction for healthcare. ALL of those people fail to realize that once you start overloading the system, then pile on even more issues if amnesty is passed, our healthcare system will be so damn screwed up it won't know it's butt from a hold in the ground.

Dont forget when they start lowering the payouts to doctors and hospitals. Then the hospitals cant afford to buy new or better equipment. Then doctors, who have to pay $30,000 a semester to go to school, decide its not worth it to be a doctor. Then the quaility of doctor goes down

But your great leader will just pass a bill saying that a certain amount of college students will be doctors, this percent will be lawyers, etc..etc

Some people in this country are complete idiots.
