If I can't have Peyton at QB...

Doesn't mean the same thing would happen in 2001.

Plus if you're going to there, the next year Miami beat the snot out of us in Knoxville.

You're probably right, but I'd have loved to have seen us play them with Big John and Albert as our starting DT from the 2001 team.

I remember when Casey's helmet was pulled off against Alabama when he was a freshman and he finished the play.

Oh I definitely wish we could have found out. We would have been SEC Champions and at the very least got to play in the Rose Bowl.

He was saying that because he had a seperated shoulder. He was hoping to play in the game but its hard to say he " lost to them" since he couldn't even play.

I was referring to what happened the following year. Once you make that statement against a team, you can't lose to them ever again. Gotta back that shmack up or shut up.

But we have not had a QB nearly as good as he was since he left. The closest best thing we have had is Ainge. Somebody should be shot for that.

Dude was cold as ice. Great leader and hard worker.
Iceman to be sure, I really thought we'd see him more in NFL course I really thought Heath was going to take NFL by storm too.... I still say Heath had strongest arm I have seen at UT.

Clausen's numbers speak for themselves, he just had very tough acts to follow. He's one if the best we've had.

Casey was a damn good college qb if he had Bray's arm strength he would be in the NFL right now and if Bray had Casey's intangibles he would have been a first round pick.

Casey would rather have Heaths arm I think.

Hey how about you go talk about your team on YOUR teams board. Stop chiming in and acting like you know UT football.

Ease off 99gator talks more sense then the majority of our Vols fans, and he is a friendly reptile. He's family, just misguided.

Bottom line is... Casey was just a winner. Not the most talented quarterback we have ever had, but he seemed to always find a way to get it done in key situations. Dude simply would not be denied against Alabama in 03' and he seemed to take his leadership and game to another level vs. the Gators and the Tide. Thank you Casey Clausen for your service to the Vols!! A true Volunteer. I would take a quarterback like Casey Clausen every day of the week.
