If I hear one more comment about stars!!!!

Is too much invested in recruiting star power?

I just think it's funny that someone is trashing someone else about being on a message board when he is a member too.

Post count shows no positive correlation with posting intelligence. In fact, it's more likely you are either: a) A high school kid with nothing better to do or b) someone much older with nothing better to do; either you sit in an office all day or you have a pretty boring home life...b) sounds pretty sad.

A recent study has shown a high post count is a direct correlation with penis size, seems your on the short end of the stick...so to speak.

i didnt mean to call anyone out. i just noticed from other threads that a lot of people that typically stand up for the whole stars dont matter at all argument typically have a lower post count and are relatively newer members.

sorry, i did not mean to start a dick measuring contest.

not exactly. post count doesnt mean a thing. most of mine have been from the sideline jibber jabber and acknowledgement of other posts. there have been many others on here with low post counts that come around occaisionally with very useful information.

then there are people like you, who come on here an basically tell everyone else they know nothing and rely too much on star ratings and that you can build a championship team in the SEC on 2 and 3 star players.

Never said that in the first place. Secondly, if you were more concerned with who these players actually are than the star rating I might not get so aggravated by it.

These are kids that come and give there all so we can sit on our couch on Saturday and gripe on how they dont deserve to wear their uniform.

It would be great to see 5 stars across the board but it isnt gonna happen. If we did have that many stars I would be worried we was cheating.

I believe there are alot of players who get missed, by all the recruiting agencies. I'm not saying the 5 star kids are not good. Most of the time they are.

Fact of the matter is that these guys have yet to coach thier first game game yet, and people like you are whining about star power.

Let them show what they got before you jump on the we are all doomed bandwagon.

And how is that? Because I answered your lame joke with an even lamer one?

No, because you showed a holier than thou attitude and referred to anyone with a high post count as a high school loser or an old loser...but yet you use a " not what your wife said " joke?

Didn't think that I would have to explain to you how you got owned, your post count theory is quickly losing its feet.

To the people who ***** about us talking about stars, how would you like for us to evaluate our commitments? Its not a science but its a hell of a lot better than going hmmm Tennessee signed them, they must be good!

Its not your job to evaluate. Just support the team.

Neither is it your job to stalk forums about Tennessee football and attempt to "correct" all the "wayward" fans who worry too much about certain things. You should just support the team.

Try again.

That was the whole point of what I was saying. Everyone wants to be a recruiting expert or say what the coaches should be doing. Go back read what was originally said. Which was support the team and let the coaches do thier jobs. No wonder no one can get a word in edgewise you guys are like a cult.

Does everyone actually believe that if a player doesnt have 5 stars he isnt any good? Its getting really old. Florida and Alabama get tons of stars because the places they recruit get alot of media attention.

And it just so happens that most of their 5 stars turn out to be all Americans, while our just transfer or get kicked out.

Tennessee does not have this priviledge. Quit expecting them to.

I would love a team full of great players that were underrated coming out of high school because they didnt play against teams with 4 and 5 star players according to the recruiting agencies every week.

We sold out once for the stars and it just amazes how quickly people would do it again. Dont forget how it felt to know we were nothing but a stepping stone.

Let Dooley do it right, and quit saying how you would do it. If we was as good as we thought we were we would be coaching. Instead I'm in the Army, some of you all are construction workers, lawyers, doctors, and factory workers.

I wouldnt want Dooley to tell me how to lead my guys, much like I'm sure you wouldnt want him to tell you how to do your jobs.

Layoff and let them do thier job.:furious3:

Thanks. Some people have to rely on others to make decisions for them. I want a coach who makes his own decisions.

What does Dooley doing his job and Stars have to do with each other?

Hes recruiting highly ranked guys just like everyone else. OP makes little sense.

Stars do matter. Not going to win @#$% with a bunch of 2 stars, ask the bottom half of the SEC. Yes there are people who prove stars wrong but there are VERY few low ranked guys who turn out to be great and the chances of filling an entire roster with those type guys is next to impossible.

Dooley is doing a great job, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Saving this last class the way he did proves he is going to do great things.

If you dont like hearing people talk about stars then recruiting is not for you.
