If ID's Are Okay for Proof of Vaccination, Why Aren't They Okay for Voting?

Spare me your fake outrage. You do understand we are talking about participating in Democracy by voting right?. I'm talking about voting! My stance is not inconsistent, the only thing inconsistent is you comparing the right to vote to buying alcohol. It's embarrassing the mental gymnastics required to make such an absurd comparison. Sheesh.
And you're advocating voting by those who can't participate in the economy or even basic life in this country. They can't be bothered to make even the most basic change and get a free card to identify themselves. Yeah, that's who I want choosing the holder of the purse strings

You would think it would be obvious voting is one of the most important things we do as a citizen so therefore should be closely monitored. But I guess we should more closely monitor who is buying a pack of smokes... have mercy....

Once again, you are being a drama queen as expected. Please show me where I said anything even remotely close to your first sentence. For some reason your are triggered because I think voting should be made easier.

Two can also play your silly game. Over 50% of Republican's believe the 2020 election was stolen with absolutely no evidence - that's literally tens of millions of morons voting to choose the holder of the purse strings. You lose. Again.

$160 for my wife and I to get our new drivers licenses today. Oof. Maryland (GOP gov) sure likes my wallet. Also $450 each to register and title our old vehicles.

Good thing I have a good job. I'd hate to be doing this on an hourly paycheck or disability check.

Good luck. Hopefully you’re not in one of the counties with a high local tax.

LOL....should we have an ID for anything?

The point just sailed right over your head. As I stated elsewhere in this thread, I was responding in kind to make a point about the futility of broad brush comments.

You said it was broad brush to create a false narrative.

It was not broad brush.

Both are also heavily based upon AA communities. The majority of unvaccinated and unlicensed in urban areas are AA.

You want people without the means to identify themselves to be able to vote. People like that are unable to participate in the economy of this country and are extremely limited

No they really don't but I've never claimed red hatters are very smart anyways.

It's an insult to black people to claim voter ID laws are racist. They are capable, intelligent human beings just like any other race. The argument Dems make that voter ID requirements disenfranchise sections of the population is baseless and STUPID. Anyone that's a legitimate US citizen can produce documentation (e.g. drivers license, birth certificate, SS card, etc.) that would enable them to vote. Bottom line, voter ID requirements will not prevent any legitimate US citizen from voting. No ID requirements opens up the door for non-citizens to vote as well as other underhanded practices. But wait, I guess that's what they want with all of the illegals invading our southern border.

Again, you are completely misrepresenting everything I've said. I've already posted that I'm actually OK with Voter ID, my initial post earlier today was about forms of Identification required, for example a student ID. I'm fairly certain college students are participating in the economy - keg sales would plummet without them.

I wonder if college students can use their student ID to buy kegs.

Costs $32 for 8 years here, and $20 a year for a car tag, and we have a republican governor

It’s a fugazi. Most black people have an id. It’s framing it as excluding blacks from voting to make it a racism debate while the real motivation is to allow illegal immigrants to vote who are less likely to have an id. It’s quite brilliant actually.

How many college students don’t have or can’t get an ID?

You are making a counter argument to your stance with the last. By default you are going to get more idiots voting if you increase the ranks fo voters. So you should be cheering that tens of millions believe the election were stolen and still vote. If you cared about their participation in general, you would be interested in making sure measures were in place to encourage them voting.

All you are really doing is defining who should and shouldnt vote based on some preconceived notion, no different than those you dislike.

It apparently is very easy. Been seeing all these elderly people show up in CA to vote early in the recall election that were told they already voted.

And even though these type of incidents and others occurred in several locations, people like TNRibs believe there is absolutely no need for Voter ID laws and continue to insult and denigrate those that even suggest the democrats participated in nefarious voting activity last November. They'll just explain it away, try to sweep it under the rug.

Let's get to the heart of the matter. It's a simple yes or no answer. Do you believe that non-U.S. citizens should be able to vote in federal elections? Yes or no.
We're now in Day 3 of the TN Ribs Watch: Will he ever respond to this simple yes/no question?

It's a lot like my wife's mood...... just give it time, it will swing back the other way.

That illustration is misleading. While the right wing can indeed become authoritarian, Fascism is also a leftist ideology. Nazi's were the "National Socialist German Workers' Party" Note what made them seem "right wing" is their extreme nationalism. But note it is always the idea to sublimate your own rights for that of the state - and that is a pure leftist concept. The lie is that you are FREE comrade! and that is why we agents of the people are taking everything from you because it is everyone's. Sure the Germans hated the Soviets but only because it was Russia leading it, not Germany. The German system also was substantial gov control of your life for which they took care of you cradle to grave.

All those illegal people crossing our border don’t have to be vaccinated or have an ID. Am I missing something?
