If Pruitt starts Guarantano against Kentucky—he is not a legitimate coach.

Uh yeah, he's a defensive minded coaches pet. Relies on the defense to win games.

I think the issue is that most of us were expecting our o-line to be elite as well. Not saying I expected a win, but the mistakes they had along with getting beat at the line of scrimmage the way they did all game is inexcusable. Just sayin, I think most of us expected a little better than what was shown. Even Vegas did or they wouldn't have set the line at 12.5.
There’s such a thing as a bad game...specially against an equal or better DL. Wouldn’t be an EXCUSE. More a visual reality.

Depends on your definition of likely. I don't think Gruden would have ever even considered the job. Freeze on the other hand probably would, but I agree that the UT admin would probably never allow it. Same reasons for not trying to get Kendall Briles, yet both FSU, and Arkansas weren't afraid to hire him.
Worked boffo for FSU. Results still pending in Fayetteville.

Now why you got to limit me to just coaches that are alive.... 🙄😎

As much as I do not like Meyer, throwing out all the other, as you said, he'd be a hell of a choice. Like him better than Saban. Meyer's team are more fun to watch. Dabo, seems to know what he's doing also and there's not much, if any, of that other stuff to throw out. One other option since we're using play money in a perfect world, Mullen combined with Pruitt as DC would be pretty strong too.

Don't mean to butt in and I'm 100% Pruitt will get the job done. If I had to hire a Coach today their is one out their I would take in a heartbeat. Billy Napier

Meyer, Kiffin and Pruitt wiuld be strong if they could all play well together, but I don't think Meyer's and Kiffin's egos would fit in Neyland Stadium at the same time.. 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe not, but Saban did well keeping him in check lol. If that didn't work, screw it. Throw your checkbook at Joe Brady 😂

Taggart was the coach at FSU and got fired. Can't blame him for jumping that sinking ship. Arkansas still pending, but so far they've definitely fared better than predicted.
The offensive performance was pathetic...that’s his baby. He can’t help the rest but he didn’t succeed in Tallahassee.

He was there for one season. Look at the train wrecks both those teams have been. I'm honestly shocked you're arguing with me about this lol.

You hold up your end or you’re part of the entire failure. If you have a performance scale on his entire career, that was a huge dip.

Yeah, a game which the offense completely crapped the bed. I wasn't, nor were most reasonable people expecting a win, but I don't think keeping the game close should've been in the realm of improbability.

We were ahead at the half. So half of a game

Silly take. They played well and our rushing yards prove it. They were both SEC schools, you don’t discount them when you are evaluating performances. Does Georgia’s D disregard their performance against Tenn. because we are lesser competition?
I guess “all world” has different meanings for us.
Being a vol fan and watching pathetic OL play for years I can see why you think a Good OL playing relatively to expectations, would seem like all world. I didn’t think so.
Watching the SC game and hearing from the commentators “ a much undersized DL is holding their own” and similar comments echoed my thoughts. We certainly did ok, but we in no way imposed our will or dominated, which in my thinking would be considered “all world “.
I was on here posting after the first 2 games my concerns about how the OL didn’t look as good as advertised.
I’m sure you was positive they were going to be fine against UGA.
We know how that turned out!

I never stated “All World” , I said they played well in the first two games. Didn’t you state they did not play well?

It was a bad GAME. Let’s see how they grade out the rest of the season before we sacrifice our firstborn.

I said the pick was on him. He is what he is. No QB would of done any better Saturday. That's my point. Can't argue it
Don’t need to when it’s already been experimented with. Maurer already proved that theory wrong buddy. What you can’t argue is that Maurer played the same team, same rank, same coach and same personnel that JG did. And given that fact my bet is IF Pruitt had put Maurer in, Kirby remembers 18 and would’ve backed the defense off.

I think CP knows where we stand as a team after this game. Had we hung in there and fought hard and made a game of it he would have put more emphasis on winning the upcoming games but i think he might start letting a lot of the younger players get some time in games for developmental reasons. Roman Harrison played extremely well after Deandre Johnson got ejected. We have a lot of talent that needs to see the field and this is a free year.
Huh?? UGA may have been the best team we play. Why wouldn't we try to win every game?

Bailey is wasting his time sitting on the bench while JG continues to make the same mistakes over & over again.

I’d rather have Pruitt put Bailey out there and struggle than to keep a 4th year QB out there that’s clearly struggling.

I’m aware the O-Line wasn’t great and is probably overrated, however JG should know when to throw the ball away when he sees pressure.

SEC teams will continue to stack the box and make JG throw.
Yeah, but we've at least got to beat Kentucky first. You wouldn't be screaming about how they beat us because we didn't bring JG in?
