pull the trigger and make it happen. He is by far the most qualified candidate. Figure out a plan to get to June if he can't get out of his contract. To me, it's inexcusable if he is indeed interested and we don't make it happen.

Agreed, especially if there is any uncertainty about the other candidates.

Tennessee has to make it happen. I'm shocked that Frank is even considering this idea.

Is Frank waiting to see if Rivers is going to leave and he may have a shot at the Boston job? Personally don't think Rivers is leaving, just curious to see what some people think.

I think if he thought there was any prayer that Rivers was leaving, he would have immediately denied any interest in the Tennessee job.

The figuring it out part is simple to me! You know Frank is going to bring some top flight assistants with him and let one of them get everything organized and hold the ship until June. Not that hard! No, he can't recruit as an NBA coach, but players and families are not stupid. A top flight assistant can easily get the message through. Hire him now!!

If there is mutual interest ? ... I'm confused... You personally have been posting for a week or longer that there was mutual interest and you even expected contact to be made this w/e between Frank and UT. Now you start a thread saying IF there is mutual interest. What gives? Were you just posting rumors of mutual interest before the latest news was made public ... personally hoping there was mutual interest...or posting info you thought was credible but apparently wasn't from another site. Just curious, as others here will be. Thanks

Is there mutual interest? If so, I agree. I don't care if he only stays three or so years. We are at a critical point in our program. If we lose Ware & Jones (Tyler Smith sat out a year so we know kids do it when they're that unhappy) in addition to the seniors plus Tobias & Scotty, we're in a world of hurt.

Get some good players in here, get through the sanctions & then worry about another new coach if/when Frank leaves. Just give him the money to hire good assistants.

My guess would be that unless LV speaks directly with Hamilton and Frank, there is no way to really know since he's most likely hearing it from a third party. He just believes what he has been told and figured he'd pass it along.

I was posting information from VolQuest and said so in every single thread I started. The "if" you see is presuming that they are correct with their info. I'm not sure how it's that hard to figure out.

There have been multiple reports stating that he's interested, and he hasn't shot them down as of yet. I sure hope he is.

Almost everyone believes Doc will leave this year. Frank doesn't have the easiest decision.

The level of idiocy that I see in the basketball forum regarding Lawrence Frank is just amazing to me. Guy is an amazing coach who was in a horrid situation in New Jersey.

UT should take this guy in a heartbeat if the interest is indeed mutual.

Just my opinion.

The Boston media takes the exact opposite view. If Rivers was leaving, we wouldn't be talking about this right now.

The top 3 players other than Rondo are 33 and older ... Frank might see a house of cards fixing to collapse and might decide to make a run at Tennessee.

Doubt that. The only thing that is keeping him in Boston is a prolonged lockout.

I'd really be shocked if that's the case. If he thought he could get the Celtics job, he wouldn't be talking to us, imo.
