You bleep holes better be happy. This program was a train wreck less then 18 months ago. CJH has us on the right path.
No, you’re talking about yards. Pass efficiency defense we’re 52nd if I recall correctly. Someone posted it yesterday. Passing yards allowed we’re 94th or something near that. Those are 2 different stats. It is horrible actually! Look at the numbers! We are almost at the bottom of the barrel in all of CFB.
What do you mean how do we keep Heupel? The problem is not about being happy. Two problems (1) How do we keep Heupel? (2) How do we improve a non-existent pass defense that is almost at the bottom of the barrel in all of college football?? Look at the numbers!
There are so many areas we have improved over last year. The main ones are we’re better at pressuring the QB, better at getting turnovers in big situations, better at short yardage plays on offense and better at clock management late in the half or the end of the game. Have we played perfectly? Of course not. No one has. We have things we absolutely can do better but the improvement in the team from 2020 to 2021 was crystal clear and so is the improvement from 2021 to 2022. I left one off. We’re clearly better at winning this year. We would’ve lost that Pitt game last year, maybe UF too. What do you mean how do we keep Heupel?
How else, genius!?
You pay him more than what somebody else thinks he's worth.
2) Non-existent? They have caused turnovers in all 5 games this year. The DBs!!
You don't know s#!+
Whoa there, pump the brakes brother. Pre season most fans seemed in agreement that 9-3,8-4 was the most likely outcome. Yeah the teams been amazing so far, but to put the floor at 11-1 is IMO setting the stage for alot of upset unrealistic fans. Anything above 8-4 at seasons end is a blessing.11-1 is the floor now.

Well 9-3 means we lose to Bama, Uga...not terrible at all and either UT Martin, Vandy, UK, Mizzou or USC JrBecause of Heupel (and staff) Tennessee has progressed WAY more than I was expecting. I don’t know if Tennessee will be Bama, but I firmly believe they can.
Now I would love to see Tennessee go 12-0, 11-1 or even 10-2 that would be amazing.
However 9-3 is about what I thought the ceiling “would” be. I “want” more because I can see Tennessee is capable; however I would take 9-3 and be freakin ecstatic.
I know many wouldn’t be…….but that’s better than 7-5, and WAY better than the dumpster Pruitt left Tennessee in.
Tennessee is beating ranked teams, and ranked teams while on the road. As a fan I am not expecting losses. The team is fun to watch, they are well coached, and they are good.
9-3 isn’t what I want………but 2 seasons removed from that dumpster fire…….it would still be huge.
If we have a off day we can loose to CanTurkey. If we have a bad game we can loose to USCjr. We play in the SEC so never take a win for granted. Just look at Arkansas. They thought TAMU was gonna roll over and just like that they've lost 3 in a row. The conference punishes arrogance like no otherWell 9-3 means we lose to Bama, Uga...not terrible at all and either UT Martin, Vandy, UK, Mizzou or USC Jr
A loss to the latter half would require quite the failure.
9-3... may not be all that acceptable
1) we keep heupel by being good fans and supporting what he is doingThe problem is not about being happy. Two problems (1) How do we keep Heupel? (2) How do we improve a non-existent pass defense that is almost at the bottom of the barrel in all of college football?? Look at the numbers!
