If we go 9-3

You bleep holes better be happy. This program was a train wreck less then 18 months ago. CJH has us on the right path.

I’d be a bit disappointed with 9-3 initially TBH. BUT, then I’d remember the state of the program under The Hamburgler…and I’d snap back to reality and realize that 9-3 would continue the program on a great trajectory.

I certainly wouldn’t be clamoring to replace the coach. I’d be clamoring to give him another raise!

If Tennessee slips to 9-3 i think they play in either the ReliaQuest Bowl,Taxslayer Gator Bowl or Citrus Bowl.

The recipe for beating Tennessee is to throw downfield routes all day, and get to Hooker and bang him up a little.

Based on that, this game rides on the O line protection of HH

For me, when the season started I expected 8-4 and would have been happy with that. Now I expect 9-3 and would be ecstatic with 10-2. I HOPE we can beat Bama or UGA but I am not counting on it, but it is possible. This is the SEC and although I expect to win against the other teams I am realistic enough to expect one of those teams to have their best game of the season against while we have an average game.

If we are 9-3, that means likely loss to Kentucky. I will stand for it or be happy with anything less than 10-2. Especially after USC went on the road and beat UK

Looking at the schedule, I don’t know how we could unless we get some horrific injuries
Georgia and Bama definitely can and probably should win. Hooker is off a game or injured, Kentucky can beat us and beating us is their season. Carolina, Missouri have shown some signs of life as well. Just bc we humbled one SEC team one week doesn’t mean any game will be an easy one.

If we have a off day we can loose to CanTurkey. If we have a bad game we can loose to USCjr. We play in the SEC so never take a win for granted. Just look at Arkansas. They thought TAMU was gonna roll over and just like that they've lost 3 in a row. The conference punishes arrogance like no other
This is absolutely correct. But losing a 3rd or 4th game at this point would still be pretty disappointing. All said, most likely scenario a this point is 10-2.
11-1 and 9-3 are both equally likely in my book.

Fellows - take it one game at at time just like the team does. Weather conditions, injuries, turnovers, and an opponent playing its best game of the season will factor into the remaining games. This team has much confidence is well coached and let's see how they progress week by week. Bring on Bama for now and enjoy the ride.

I agree. To my way of thinking, our shot at beating either Bama or Ga is equivalent to our likelihood at losing to Ky or Mizzou or maybe SC. In all of these match-ups, the underdog needs to play really well and get a few breaks from a favorite who doesn't give up many breaks. Ball games are most fun when the outcome can't be assumed, and that seems to me to be the case in 5 of our remaining games. Even in 98 we had near misses against teams we were favored against. Syracuse and Ark come to mind.

The problem is not about being happy. Two problems (1) How do we keep Heupel? (2) How do we improve a non-existent pass defense that is almost at the bottom of the barrel in all of college football?? Look at the numbers!

How do you keep Heupel is the easy part. Much harder part is fixing our abysmal pass defense.
