If you are giving up on Butch ten games into his first season

Offense has improved over the course of the year and what has happened to Palardy is nothing short of remarkable. But defense continues to be a disaster. I still think it's a personnel issue, particularly in the secondary.

The secondary is the reason UT is one of the worst teams in the country against the run? That's an interesting theory.

IMHO, they are playing above their talent level right now. The front 7 is flat out terrible in every sense of the word. They aren't getting a pass rush and can't stop or even slow down the run.

I'm not "giving up" on the coaches, but they certainly deserve some criticism. We've seen some absolutely awful SEC teams in the last few seasons that were able to compete after a coaching change.

I know our schedule is monstrous, and that has to be playing a role, but there are things to criticize coach-wise.

I agree. The secondary outside of Sutton is awful. Bad angles, blown assignments and getting turned around is the norm.

I'm also disappointed by the lack of effort shown by McCullers. He could be a beast but he just looks lazy

His work ethic has been questioned ever since he's been here, so it's obviously an issue. We don't have depth there either. Also, McNeil to me looks so slow and out of position constantly. He was pretty highly rated coming out of high school too.

If you can't see the difference then you don't know jack **** about football or this team and I can't help you.

The difference between auburn last year and this year coaching. Dooley had 3 straight top 25 classes theres talent. Kiffin milked the most out of his players when he was here. Jones has yet to do that I hear about this top 5 class we currently have, yea that wont be intact after this team lays down for vandy. Then what?

Such dramatic crap.

Who is saying they give up.

Most of what I am reading is pointing a problem with the staff.
If you do not think there is a serious problem then you are delusional.

Please take your rooting interests to another school. Ten games does not fix four years of Kiffin and Dooley coaching/recruiting.

In 2 more years, and another coach, we will be hearing,"Ten games does not fix 7 years of Kiffin,Dooley, and Jones".

Tennessee fans are upset over giving up 55 at home to a team that won 3 games last year and they are idiots? You sound like a liberal p*$$y

Maybe if we had given up 55 points to them last year but since THIS year (you know the one we actually played them in) they have 1 loss and are ranked in the Top 10 doesn't really mean jacksh!t how many games the won last year.

Northern illinois is in the top 20 should they hang 55 on us? I mean they havent lost a game this year? Auburn has gotten better since week one. Ut has gotten much worse

Offense has improved? What about "False start" Tiny, interception prone Dobbs, WR drops, etc. If the offense has improved it ain't by much

I'm in the boat with anyone else that says our problem lies largely on Jancek. What I saw today was an Auburn team that didn't throw but maybe twice after the first quarter because they didn't have to. I saw a TN defense that didn't adjust to the fact that Auburn ran the same damn play 4 times in a row before just flipping it and running it 6 more. I know that we don't have speed or depth, but if adjustments aren't made when it's discovered that the opposing team is planning on just cramming it down our throats, I think that is a coaching problem. Getting beat on the edges is a talent issue. Getting beat 20 times on the edges is a coaching problem. Now, I'm still rooting for this team, and this staff, but I think some serious thought needs to be put in our DC position.

CBJ doesn't appear to be one of those coaches that can get his teams to overacheive. Hopefully he'll continue to recruit well and we can see what he can do with a full deck. He sure doesn't seem to be able to get more from less.

Running game is much better, passing is terrible no matter plays so far, palardy Is worlds better, special teams worse, defense scheme is almost as bad, recruiting is great.

Hire a new dc and a special teams coach then keep moving forward.

I may be alone here on the fence but I never got on board with this hire to begin with. I wanted the splash hire. I figured that the AD owed the fans something after the crap product they've been serving up lo these many seasons but for whatever reason Hart was unwilling or unable to serve us up the kind of big name that would become a rallying point for fans and players alike. Butch will be here at least another couple of years, unless he pulls a Kiffin move on us, so I'm not going to trash him in year one but from where I sit this staff started out at ground zero and I need tangible proof that the bricks are being laid as promised. The next two games will be telling. Vandy won't be easy but we get 2 weeks to prepare and its in Neyland. Kentucky is who we think they are. There's no good reason for this team not to make a bowl game. After that we wait to see if they get the hay in the barn come Feb.

If you are willing to accept another Dooley level performance as "acceptable"... please take your rooting interests to another school. Ten games is plenty of time to coach up and improve the play of the current players... you are NOT as devoid of talent as you seem to think.

There is a VERY good chance you and others are in for a shock when a good recruiting class or two doesn't solve all the problems and especially on D.

God, why didn't we hire you as coach?!?!? What were we thinking, you are obviously the next general.

I'm right there with you...I need to see some proof...firing janceck and martinez who are UGA's unwanted leftovers would be a huge step...

Lets see lose to a bad Florida team get blown out in Oregon then tske UGA to OT and beat a pretty good USC team. Nope. No improvement there.
... Wait... Why did you stop? Right now USCe looks a lot like nothing but a fluke... a great individual play that happens once in a long, long while.

UGA? They were down to one or 2 options at WR. They lost both of their headline RB's and this D/DC made two marginally talented Fr look like world beaters. Those are guys who have ALREADY been recruited over...

But since USCe what have we seen? A collapse vs Bama... not just a loss but a lay down. Pretty much the same on D vs MU. And probably the worst today vs Auburn. The last 3 games have probably been the worst three games they've played all year and especially on D. That is NOT improvement.

This team is worn down. Weve been playing the hardest schedule in the country with NO depth. Our back ups are walk ons bro. Get real.

Oh, how creative! A new excuse to enable you to ignore poor coaching on the D side of the ball.

Tell me how this will improve next fall on D. You better open your eyes because UGLY could get ALOT uglier with a whole new front 7 with only marginal improvement in the secondary... if any. We don't KNOW that any of the Fr are going to make that big of an impact anywhere on D. The only chance for improvement next fall is new players and MUCH better coaching... ie Ole Miss level coaching this year.

BTW, their new staff and DC made an immediate impact even BEFORE getting that big recruiting class.

How dare a true freshman making his 2nd start throw an int versus the #9 team in the country! We are moving the ball better, running the ball better, North has developed as a playmaker, etc.
