If you could pick...

condredge holloway

That was the second name that came to my mind. The first was CP. Ive thought many times how much it would mean to have him back. If you get him the ball enough and on special teams hes good for a TD or 2 a game. We desperately need his ability on offense. He can make things happen all by himself and that could mean the difference in a lot of games.

I've got all my teeth. But if they do get knocked out I'll run here and make sure you know about it. Stay classy...........BRO

Edit: don't bring up reading comprehension to me son. The thread title said if you could pick a player.......either way you wanna slice it, you picked 5:eek:lol:

Wow, you really are special.

I'll throw out another...Leonard Little.

A speed rusher to chase, and squish, silly qb's would be nice.

If you could pick one former Tennessee player to play for us this season, who would it be?

Willie Gault, Dale Carter, Eric Berry, Peyton Manning, Heath Shular.:eek:lol:

Well, now you are just adding liar to your resume of jackass, but I don't think any less of you. And yes, you need help with your reading comprehension.

If going with a receiver, Willie Gault. He is currently the world record holder in the 100m for his age. DB would be a toss up between Berry and Dale Carter. But I think what this team, every team needs most is a solid QB. Would have to go with Peyton, maybe Shuler due to style.

I am not sure why you are having trouble with this. We can get you a tutor if you need one. I still thinks it beats you hypothetical pick of " I would pick a horse but I would add wings and horns due to modern technology"

Oh really?

Thread title: If you could PICK ONE PLAYER to help this team who would it be?

Your pick: Willie Gault, Dale Carter, Eric Berry, Peyton Manning, and Heath Shular:eek:lol:

Manning. For his ability to read defenses, his ability to make inexperienced receivers look good, his leadership, and his ability to manage a game.

If I were to go with a defensive player, it would be Reggie White. He knew how to anticipate what an offense might do next, he could talk up a defensive unit as well as or better than Ray Lewis, and he would inspire the entire team. RIP, Reggie, we miss you.

You apparently are just not all that bright. But I see you are good at adding you little text characters so you get 1 gold star.

If you would like to say I picked 2 due to my statement of maybe Shuler, then ok, but the other 3 are mentioned in context of their positions, in response to those people/positions being mentioned in earlier responses. I think this is apparent to anyone with a 4th grade education, but yet apparently lost on you.

QB is the most important position on the field and is the biggest question mark for this team.

Anyone not saying Peyton Manning is insane. Tee Martin or Heath Shuler would also be acceptable answers.

At 190lb, he better run a 4.3 40.

I think Travis Stephens would disagree with you. At 5'9", 190 lbs, he led the SEC in rushing his senior year, and still holds the single season UT rushing record with 1464 in 2001.

He only ran a 4.6 40 in the NFL combine.

Jamal Lewis...with this OL we could keep the defense off the field, control the clock, go undefeated win the NC. :eek:k:

To put that in context, which apparently is unobtainable on this forum, my point was that a RB, (who at 190 was one of the largest players on the field in 1920) would need to have exceptional speed and athleticism at that weight to play in today's game.
To put it in perspective, he would need to be about 265 today to have the size advantage he had then.

With this offensive line and Peyton's ability to read a defense? Obviously gotta go with Peyton if we're wanting to effect our W/L column the most. With Peyton I believe this team could win 8 or 9 games easy

Being an idiot doesn't get better by being consistent.

Look son, you've dug yourself quite the hole. Just quit while you can. I'll gladly accept your submission and won't look down on you any more than I already do.

The bottom line is I chose Gene McEver. I'm sure many on here said WTF? Gene McEver. I'm sure many laughed and disagreed with it. But they simply typed their pick and moved on.

You on the other hand, have torn my pick to shreds, called me an *******, idiot, toothless, jackass and every other name in the book. Then to top it off you had the nerve to tell me I need reading comprehension. This after you read the thread title which CLEARLY STATES A PLAYER.....ONE PLAYER! So you chose 5......5! Then you tell me I need reading comprehension. Do you realize how INCREDIBLY STUPID and hypocritical that sounds. At the end of the day it's actually really simple. Every single negative remark you made towards me actually applies to you...............BRO

Gene Mcever would obviously be a terrible choice just because he would look terrible in agame that's evolved far beyond his abilities at the time, which were incredible of course

CP would be great for CBJ offense if he learned the plays
