'24 IL OT Marques Easley (Georgia commit)

When guys come on officials they get to spend time around players and a significant amount with their host. Kids can be very different when talking to coaches as opposed to their peers. This is when you can learn a lot about whether a kid fits your culture or not. Some kids are a walking red flag when they think the authority figures aren't around. Not saying that is the case here. Just giving an explanation of how someone can suddenly not be a fit.
Not to mention what the players learn when the slip into the recruits alter ego non public social media.

We will be more selective in recruiting OL now with NIL. If an OL is not a great fit out of HS, it will be way easier to get freshman and sophomores out of portal who have proven themselves. NIL makes it easier to recruit out of portal, especially with OL. OL prospects are more developmental than many other positions and they are too important to miss on. Better to get a transfer who is proven and cannot transfer again for a couple of years.

Hearing bama threw a big bag for Easley and that we also increased our offer. Didn’t realize this was an NIL recruitment, but here we are.

It was just a troll apparently. Kirby's always been one of the best recruiters there is but this is ridiculous this year to be over 300 points on the composite on July 8.
They will lose a couple for various reasons, but they will have a couple others commit.

It’s frustrating watching our rivals stockpile top recruits like this. I know our staff is working hard and doing a good job but it’s still tough.
Florida and Georgia just have a recruiting advantage over us from the jump because of their instate talent. It's really been that way ever since the sport integrated, we just got an upper hand on Georgia in the 90's with a perfect storm of excellent leadership on our end and bad coaches on their end. Despite the horrible year Florida is coming off, they currently have the No. 3 class on the composite. We had a great year, and are at No. 11. I will be glad to see both come off of our permanent schedule.

The fact that their still drawing that caliber of players with as deep as their bench is. Their bagmen or NIL is doing some work. Or they don’t have to hide it anymore.
It’s bc they are winning
Nil doesn’t have much to do with it
Nil nut suckers can’t seem to figure it out and downgrade other fans for not donating
Winning, draft picks and development matter more to 95% of kids over nil

Anyone ever going to give us the reason why Easley dropped off after his visit here? Was a strange vibe after his OV.

They can only put 11 players on the field at a time

So you would turn down a class that highly rated because only 11 can play? Seems like a bold strategy. Also having better players to practice against each day probably doesn’t matter either just throw some scrubs out there only need 22 good players by this logic.
