I didn't know when the news was rosy. I don't know now.

I've been more ambivalent than most about Tate. From his highlight videos, you don't see elite speed. Looks like he makes great plays on the ball. He's got the size. Personally though I like to see HS WR's running away from the competition and beating angles.... even in a place as elite as IMG. Maybe there's video I haven't seen that shows it? If I had my overall pick it would be Mizell. The JUCO guy looks good too along with the guy from VA.

Mmmmmm Tillman had 152 yards versus Alabama and 200 yards versus Georgia…. We just need two- three other consistent receivers and we are golden.

I don’t think I would even focus on in state talent. We’re seeing more and more that doesn’t matter as much as it used to. More so regional talent and ability to recruit that talent.

Completely agree. I've been saying this for years. It's an outmoded mentality to think that instate talent is exceedingly important with regard to recruiting. It's nice, but what you have to sell and regional/proximate talent are far more important factors. Florida got exactly one of the top 20 recruits in Florida last year. FSU got 2, Miami got 3. The other 14 left the state.

Our society is far more transient than it used to be. Most kids want to go away for college. 2-4 hours away may or may not be instate. Doesn't really matter.

Who here is saying Tillman isn’t elite? The dude is a stud and can be a 2nd round draft pick. He had an awesome year last year and was turning borderline unguardable. He’s one of the best receivers in the SEC
