How would this affect Spillman, if at all?Tate is teammates with Devin Hyatt at IMG, and they will both be here this weekend. Nico is playing in a 7 vs 7 tournament this weekend in Knoxville as well. Kyler Kasper is also in town this weekend. The stars could align just right fellas. I think Kasper is definitely a Vol. Hyatt as well if the coaches want him. That could be three pieces recruiting Tate to the hill this weekend.
They always shoot for ~32, maybe a couple spots higher. They slowly release them in their own rankings because (if you go to 2024, 2025, etc) they keep ratings (as opposed to rankings) low until senior year.Just noticed on 247 they only have 4 guys rated as five stars
Tate being a 4 star even though he's ranked 2nd in the nation at WR.
Are they being stingy with 5 stars now for some reason?

VOLS SET TO HOST FIVE-STAR WR AGAIN
-CallahanFive-star wide receiver Carnell Tate of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., also is scheduled to return to Tennessee this weekend on his first official visit. It will be his third trip to Knoxville since late November, and it’s another opportunity for the Vols to make a move in what’s shaping up to be a major battle over the next few months. Ohio State and Notre Dame have been viewed for months as two of the top contenders for Tate, but sources close to his recruitment have indicated in recent weeks that Tennessee also has emerged as a legitimate contender for him and the team with the best chance of convincing the Chicago-area native to attend a school outside the Midwest.
At the same time, some close to his recruitment have been somewhat skeptical of the Vols’ chances of ultimately landing Tate, with multiple sources indicating that Kasper might be a more realistic option among Tennessee’s top receiver targets. But there’s no question that the Vols will show Tate plenty of attention this weekend, and so will Iamaleava, who has already gone to work on trying to convince some highly ranked wide receivers to join him in Knoxville.
