If you hold him accountable for that, you have to also give him credit for Tillman, Jones, and Payton.
Especially Velus, and Tillman. There numbers skyrocketed from the previous season.
More than anything I think Heupel just didn;t rotate as much more so than Burns not developing.
It doesn't matter now because he's gone. So well see what Pope brings to the table now.
Wilson and Olave probably both top 20 picks at WR from tOSU, and that could be way too conservative.Ohio State, which their receivers coach is probably the best in College football at the moment with what he’s done last 3 seasons. But I think we could land him based off Nico connection just won’t be easy obviously
Calloway had a bad drop in the Florida game and then coach never let him back out there. Before that he was starting to come on.They’re veterans and playing in an explosive offense. The offense is why their #s went way up. It’s telling that the young players didn’t improve
Not that I'm hoping we miss him this season, but because it's NOT the season yet, how can you say he's not missed yet?I missed the whole Burns thing. Where did he go? Why? Doesn’t seem to be missed.
A lot of rumors out there that hype wasn’t exactly thrilled with the job he was doing.Calloway had a bad drop in the Florida game and then coach never let him back out there. Before that he was starting to come on.
Hyatt also had trouble catching the ball and his minutes slipped.
It really doesn't make sense to not give credit for Burns for the veterans, then blame him soley for the youngsters. That's just choosing not to like someone...
I appreciate the recruiting he did and development for the veterans WRs.
Where there’s smoke there’s fire and way too many people have hinted that he didn’t do a great job and/or he won’t be missed: Swain, AP, Ainge evenCalloway had a bad drop in the Florida game and then coach never let him back out there. Before that he was starting to come on.

I can say he’s not missed yet because of several post saying he’s not missed. The “yet” hasn’t happened yet. Just going off what I read which is the reason I asked what I had missed. Not that I'm hoping we miss him this season, but because it's NOT the season yet, how can you say he's not missed yet?
As far as recruiting, we seem to be doing more than fine. So in that regards, no we're not missing him.
I’d have to go back and find it. Check the podcasts after he left for the Saints. Swain Event, VQ and Ainge. Swain has his own app and you can find the other 2 on Apple podcast or wherever else podcasts are foundWould like to see where they said it. Would be interested in listening/reading more into it
He had a 7v7 tournament near Ohio State this weekend and their fans were there all weekend with signs up saying Welcome to Colombus Carnell! They did this for everyone on his loaded 7v7 team too (Brandon Inniss, Cormani McClain, etc). Definitely left a good impression on him
