I'm fine with no SEC team in the CFP this year

Yes, 3 teams are unbeaten something both Alabama and Georgia are not. It didn't help that the SEC **** the bed week 1 and 2 with FSU running LSU off the field, Texas stomping Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and Miami running Texas A&M off the field. SEC didn't prove it on the field.
Not the question, I will say again, do you think there are 4 teams in the country playing better than Alabama and Georgia?

I had forgot about the Texas A&M loss - yes that first week set the tone for the year.

Alabama should get in.

Ya'll cried about losing to two of the top teams in the league lol
If FSU wins. It’s between them Texas, and Bama for the last two spots. Who do you leave out? Texas will not get left out imo period. Bama or an undefeated fsu gets left out. If I’m being completely impartial I think Bama is a much better team than FSU but idk how you leave a major undefeated team out.

I think people are forgetting losses in conference championships aren’t treated the same as regular season losses. Remember last year the committee said that in reference to what would happen if TCU lost. I think uga, unfortunately, stays in the top 4; would love both for both of them to get left out though.

Then again, the committee kept saying margin of victory didn’t matter last year but kept rewarding Oregon and Ohio state for it anyway.

I'm just curious, if we were in GA's shoes (1 loss in the SEC championship game after being #1 most of the year) would you still think we shouldn't get in?

Or, if we were in Bama's shoes (beat the #1 team in the SEC championship after a loss to TX) would you still want us out?
we aren’t either one of those teams so I don’t care. I hate all of the SEC besides TN. You are kind of weird. Why do you put these ridiculous hypothetical scenarios to question someone’s opinions? I am a TN fan. I ONLY want TN to win. I don’t care about what UGA or Bama fans think. I hope the committee breaker their little hearts and leaves them both out.

Geez dude.

So you think there are 4 better teams than Georgia and Alabama? Wow
You are a prisoner of the moment. You are thinking Bama is so good because they beat UGA. But think about this. UGA struggled MIGHTLY against a lowly Georgia Tech and Bama barely squeaked by a bad Auburn.

At the end of last week neither UGA nor Bama looked like a playoff team. Texas looks better than both IMO. So does Michigan and Washington. Stop being a prisoner of the moment.

You can be a TN fan AND be objective.

Would you think WE would deserve to get in? That's the point. If you're just a homer who isn't objective at all, that's fine.

So is that the purpose of the committee? I was under the assumption the committee should pick the 4 beat teams.
I agree with you in that respect. But it isn’t happening. FSU could get left out for sure. Washington isn’t getting left out. Texas isn’t getting left out. Michigan isn’t getting left out.

Yes I would think we should get in. But that’s because I am a TN fan. Just like their fans think they should be in.

The moment is all that matters, best teams right now should be criteria for playoffs, not what happened. Name another sport where a playoff spot is decided in the first or championship is decided in the first 1/4 of the season.

No they should NOT unless FSU loses.

FSU, Michigan, and Washington are all undefeated and Texas beat Alabama.

Leave them out.
The CBS crew was already starting the lobbying for bama jumping an undefeated FSU. While bama and uga would boat race the noles this year, I still don't think it's right to exclude an undefeated ACC conference champ for bama.

Assuming nothing weird happens.

Based on record and resume there are. Washington, FSU, Michigan, and Texas. If that doesn't determine the playoff, winning doesn't matter and football is nothing but a beauty pageant.
