I'm fine with no SEC team in the CFP this year

I think the top 4 should be:

1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Alabama
4. Georgia

I think you can switch 1/2 then 3/4. I also think 3 and 4 could see each other in the final.

There is a reason there is no B1G thread. The conference has 4 teams and 1 of the 4 can't score 20 points.

The Big 10 championship is a joke.

Btw, you keep touting Alabama but it took a miracle for them to get by 6-6 Auburn, same Auburn thst lost to New Mexico state in a blowout the week before.
I’m not touting anyone or any team, just being objective on wh the 4 teams are in college football right now and I believe the best 4 should be chosen to compete for the NC.

Given the shady officiating favoring UGA and AL all year. I think it's just as well to see AL left out if both MI and FSU win tonight.

I know the whole MI scandal is just as shady. But the playoff committee isn't going to touch that.

I am as well. Seeing Bama and UGA both get screwed at the same time would make me feel like a back in the day Raquel Welch calling me up and asking me if I want to do a threesome with her and back in the day Farrah Fawcett. I twitch in anticipation it happens. Seeing it would cause Sankey to have a heart attack would be like a cheery on top of the threesome.

Not the question, I will say again, do you think there are 4 teams in the country playing better than Alabama and Georgia?

Who cares? Bama should have a second loss right now. If they don’t convert 4th and 31 they’re not a worse team. They’d still be favored against anyone in the country after tonight.

But I also don’t think you’d be claiming they should get in over an undefeated team

They play in a wannabe power 5 league. Are they one of the best 4 teams?

If a team played their first 3 without their QB, lost all 3, then blew everyone else out and went 9-3 in a major conference and looked like the “best team” in the country.

Would you say a 9-3 team should be in over an undefeated power 5 team?

Problem is Texas beat Bama. There is no argument which puts them out and Bama in. Georgia’s schedule was filled with cupcakes and they lost the last game of their season.

Michigan
Washington
Texas
FSU

Would be my field if everything holds. Replace FSU with Bama if Louisville wins this

worth it to see the Bammers whine about it
Absolutely. Between Bama and GA, the Finebaum show on Monday would be epic. I can’t imagine the meltdowns. Bring it on.

Having said that, FSU is giving the committee a reason to leave them out at the moment. Jeez, their offense looks awful.

It's only a problem for you, but not the committee. On the surface it's a problem but the Georgia win ends that discussion. To anyone paying attention this is a different Alabama team, and the Big 12 is a much weaker overall conference.

Texas before Bama. They won the head to head. 1..Washington 2. Michigan 3. FSU 4. UGa or Texas. I'd rather it be Texas, but I'm sure the election committee will want to reward UGa for being #1 most of the season.

Apparently you weren’t paying attn to Texas beating their ass in Tuscaloosa.

The playoff committee’s own mission statement is the argument. They are supposed to pick the 4 best teams at this time and not what happened in week 2.

Alabama will jump the team directly above them after one beat a 3 loss team today and the other beat the undefeated defending champs who hadn't lost in over two years.

If Mich and FSU win, Al. and Ga. will be out and Texas in. Spry, but what happens in week 2 does matter! Otherwise why play them.

Well, the Allstate Playoff Predictor at halftime said:
-If FSU wins it’s MI, WA, FSU and Texas.
-If FSU loses, it’s MI, WA, TX and Bama.
-Georgia has no shot.

And most pundits are saying the same thing assuming MI beats Iowa. Gonna be interesting.
