I'm hearing Worley is possibly out...

I thought this summer that Peterman would win the job and Worley would transfer just before the season started.. Obviously, I don't have the football mind of the coaches, or nor am I present in practices, but I always thought it was certain that Worley would lose the job at some point. I hate it for him. It may have been better for it to happen in summer so he could transfer out and save a year of playing time at a lower tier school if he wanted. (IF). I hate when players like Worley lose their positions that they have worked and waited for, but it was the right call IF the call has been made. I just hate seeing it happen to any kid who has worked so hard.

I seriously doubt the competition has ever been closed. That's the sad part. I hate talking bad about whoever the qb is but Worley is just missing open wr's so badly. It's like night and day with him, that TD pass he threw to Croom was an absolute laser beam and right on the money, then, well you know what happened after that.

This post is dead on. :good!:

i want to ride with Dobbs or Fergy which ever one is better and then let him take his lumps and get better..we did it with Ainge and Scheaffer and Ainge had to go against that NFL 2004 Auburn squad...much more intimidating than this year's UF team and he turned out alright...either Buth is being too conservative or the true freshman aren't living up t their hype thus far...

Well we know what we have with Worley so it WOULD add some excitement to the game if for no other reason than just to see something different from 3 & out and punt. Not sure Peterman can get it done but very hopeful.

personally, i barely even want to watch the UF game if Worely is the starter....if nothing course, he makes for really boring football...of course i will still watch, but just saying..watching Worely lead the offense is like watching a pig crawling through mud...and I don't want to see Peterman, the other mud crawler as well...let's see our future QB...

Here's a crazy thought . . . I think we've got as much of a WR problem as we do a QB problem.

Ainge had to play agains 2004 AU a team much much better than this Gator team...i say let's pc the QB of the future and ride with him now so by the end of the season he will have had almost a full season of playing time under his belt....besides, we know what will happen with Worely...nothing

I know Butch has a plan, but this logic is hard to argue against. I mean, it's not like we're competing for the SEC this year. Play whoever you see being the longterm answer now.

The offensive staff is probably just tired of Worley and all his missed throws.....butch is trying to keep saying routes and timing is just off but they all know it's Worley and now they can make a change and see how Nate does in the Swamp before they decide if one of the freshman get a chance vs. USA

None of this is really unexpected for this team. I expect to see all 4 quarterbacks play before season end.

Is not Peterman a true threat to actually run the ball on the read option? Is it not a possibility that Butch had the kid watch from the sidelines for 3 games before putting him in against FL because he would be our best option to win the game. Could he not have circled the game with the intention of Peterman and not destroy his mind by playing Ducks..Kid looks like he will hit open receivers and actually be a threat to run. If he does start Sat, we have to at least think that this was the plan all along

I'm all for letting Peterman get a look but changing QBs won't keep our defense from sucking anymore. We aren't stopping anyone and that just as worrisome.

For the record, Oregon isn't just "anyone". Our defense isn't near as bad as that game would indicate.

Exactly . . . and focusing on the QB two days after getting 59 points hung on your defense is probably a sign of mental illness.

10 consecutive 3 and outs is a good reason for the defense to get abused against the best offense in CFB...and guess who is responsible for those 3 and outs...Worely....some of you kill me...get your heads out of the sand!!!!!! defense is far from great, but they can't do much against a truly elite offense when there is 10 consecutive 3 and outs...

Sorry but game experience is much more valuable than sideline experience. No way it's been the "plan". If you get a chance to watch Peterman when he has played , he never takes his eyes off of the WR he's throwing to.
