This is not the UF of old. Let's do a quick comparison. Look at the dumpster fire that is Michigan. They are about to fire Hoke, over their last 11 games they have gone 3-8 and lost to their biggest rival by 1 point. Compare that to UF. Over their last 11 games they have gone 3-8 and lost to their biggest rival by 30.

Good lord people it's one game. If we lose, big deal. It would be no different than the Georgia loss. Some of you need to quit thinking the season hinges on 1 game. It doesn't.

Do I want to beat UF? You bet. If we don't does that mean anything? Not really.

Totally disagree. Georgia loss hurts really badly because we should have won with some better OC playcalling. However UF loss would be so much more devastating because of longer loosing streak, playing at home, they are in disarray with coach on hot seat. The question is if we can't beat them now when will it happen? Or do you like our chances better next year in the swamp without Worley?

Your memory is a bit blurred. We played LSU in SEC Championship games in 2001 and 2007 (SEC Championship Game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Jamarcus Russell was at LSU from 2003-2006 (JaMarcus Russell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). It was now Dr. Matt Mauck who "came off the bench to replace injured starting quarterback Rohan Davey [in the 2001 SEC Championship Game]. Mauck would run for two touchdowns, leading the underdog Tigers to a come-from-behind 31-20 victory over the heavily favored #2 Tennessee Volunteers" (Matt Mauck - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Thanks, was a little bit fuzzy on that one. I've slept since then.

While that is a valid fear, if I were a game planning Muschamp you can bet I would send some sort of blitz on every down, its been made abundantly clear our Oline is not going to stop it, and after Worley the talent level drops significantly

He can do that, but it won't work out for him. We'll just dump it out on short or medium routes and take it to the house right through their god-awful secondary.

6 days away and I am already a nervous wreck thinking about the game on Saturday. I know we should win, but this game has a massive mental aspect to it as well. There have been probably 3 or 4 years in this 10 year stretch where we should have won, but Florida wins anyway.

Luckily, it seems like these players don't care about the past or what has happened. I have full confidence in Jones to get the job done.
There are so many freshmen on this team I don't see much psychological issues IMO

If they lose to UF it will be due to coaching.

If you honestly place the blame of the UGA loss on OC playcalling I seriously. question your ability to understand football.

Good coaches design plays that frequently get their best and most experienced players the ball in these types of games. North and Pig were not used effectively (again). They should have been catching a lot of short first and second down passes throughout the game (we would not have had so many quick 3 and out's if that was the case, which means the defense would have held up better against Gurley as well - and also our QB's would not get pummeled all day if they got rid of the ball quicker which short passing game would encourage). If you don't understand that than I seriously question your ability to understand football.

No team has been in our heads the last 20 plus years the way Florida has. I am excited and all the signs point to a UT victory, but at this point I will have to see it to believe it.

Good thing about the youth of this team. By the way they were prepared for UGA, who had beat us 4 now 5 years in a row, I think they will be fine for UF.

Almost half of the kids that will wear orange this Saturday have never lost to the gators so nothing negative will be in their heads. They are simply hungry to win their first big SEC game.

I don't think Muschamp is going to go down easily this week, he is fighting for his career, and job. I expect Florida to bring their A Game. Say what we will we still haven't beaten Muschamp.

Sometimes when peoples back is against the ropes they over compensate. Mustchamp is far from being emotionally stable. I say he loses it on Saturday and exposes what a horses rear end he is.

Pray to God you are right. The alternative is that his defense (which he is supposedly known for and good at) comes out and plays the game of their lives to save his job after having one extra week to prepare for our still very inconsistent offense.

Living in Florida, it's been downright unbearable losing to the Gators year after year. So, I'm nervous as well. We've just got to beat them when we 'should' beat them and end this streak. I also see this as an important momentum step to keep and attract top recruits. If we don't beat them this year, we'll face a much tougher Gator team in Gainsvile next year.

Now, if only I could be at the Alumni meeting to watch the game in Tampa. On business in Minnesota and hoping they don't block the game with Big Ten action.

So which one is it? Are you scared they'll find a way to lose, or do you have full confidence in Jones getting the job done?

I have zero confidence in them winning. I do however think they'll play hard and be in the game. Just like last week, team with most points off turnovers wins this Saturday.

If we play sound football then we should win this one. Like I said earlier though just enjoy the game. All of the pressure is on Florida. They are the ones coming in with the streak and a HC fighting for his life.

I wanna think this is the year but if jw goes down and peterman comes in... it could get ugly fast.

If Worley goes down, they need to burn Dobbs's redshirt and put him in there. He can potentially lead us to a win. Peterman cannot.

Time to put Florida in the rear view mirror. It's a home game and the Vols need to come out and win this in grand fashion. No time for moral victories. A lost on Saturday and it could be a few years before we can beat the Gators again.

I totally agree. The season does not hinge on Florida, but it does hinge on Ala damn bama!
