I'm scared...

Actually, swamplizzard meat for supper on Saturday sounds mighty fine. That would be the other win we need besides Chattanooga, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt for a .500 season and a bowl. I'd like to get that win now, and maybe another against MIZZOU.

The Florida fear can be traced directly back to Fulmer. While Spurrier was flinging insults at Fulmer and the Vols, Fulmer would curl up in the fetal position and all but beg Spurrier not to hang 60 points on our defense.

It was totally embarassing to see our head coach cower like a fat kid being bullied on the playground.

Fulmer's fear of Spurrier and his Gators infected our whole program and persists to this day.

Butch puts an end to this sh*t on saturday!!:td::chair:

It seems to me that the TN-Fla games are similar to the TN-Ga games in reverse. We always give Ga a tough game, even when their talent and experience level is superior. The reverse is true with TN-Fla. They always play their best games against us.

Cam Sutton just wants the ball. TK2 just wants the ball. AJ just wants to hit somebody. Curt...has wants to get more sacks. Worley just wants better protection. Barnett wants to crush Driskell.....on and on.
We fans don't play. And our players won't be denied. No Superstition this year. It's a new Tennessee and a new Florida. One's going down hard. It will be Florida.
(got off early...already into the beer)

This team claws and scratches like a bunch of roaches that won't die. We may lose. I don't think we will. BUT there is no more mental edge. It went away in June.

Teams take on the identity of a coach mostly automatically. Butch is a fighter, a brawler, a general, and will have the team ready

Is there anyone who could have a mental edge over butch? He reminds me of the saban intensity with the les miles confidence and like ability

Good lord people it's one game. If we lose, big deal. It would be no different than the Georgia loss. Some of you need to quit thinking the season hinges on 1 game. It doesn't.

Do I want to beat UF? You bet. If we don't does that mean anything? Not really.

So, you are saying if we lose to Florida things will be okay?

I say BS!

The Florida players are going to be a nervous wreck when they see and hear that checkerboard stadium full of 102455

VP and/or Smith playing is huge. Their secondary is worse than UGA and we arent going to run all over their front 7. They need to have every weapon possible so Worley can have a big day. Unless Driskel plays lights out (and I'm sure he will against UT) this game shouldnt be close... Although we all know that wont happen.
On paper: UT 30-13
Reality: UT 24-23

So many newbies I dont see how the mental aspect can really be much of a factor?

The more kids rack this up as an automatic in the W column, the more nervous I get. You guys have hyped this to catastrophic levels.

Not trying to sound like a jerk, but I can't believe some of you are saying that this is the last chance we may have to beat Florida for awhile. Have you seen some of the kids we have coming in next year? In my opinion this may be the start of a streak against them if we win Saturday. This team is only going to get more talented and experienced.

It's a new day in Temnessee and Fla is about to find out.

This is our biggest rival and most important game to most fans. Winning this game is Huge, especially in trying to get to a bowl game. We have to win our home games and should except for Alabama.

I agree. It's our best chance in a long time but definitely not our last chance for a while.

Your utter contempt for fulmer annoys me. let me remind you that fulmer did beat spurrier when it counted and that was en route to the national championship we won in '99. After majors, fulmer kept Tennessee nationally relevant until he was unfairly fired. It'd be nice if fans would recognize what he meant to the program instead of continually bashing him.

Good coaches design plays that frequently get their best and most experienced players the ball in these types of games. North and Pig were not used effectively (again). They should have been catching a lot of short first and second down passes throughout the game (we would not have had so many quick 3 and out's if that was the case, which means the defense would have held up better against Gurley as well - and also our QB's would not get pummeled all day if they got rid of the ball quicker which short passing game would encourage). If you don't understand that than I seriously question your ability to understand football.

Horse pucky. We put 32 points on the #12 team in the nation. They had a RB that hung over 200 yards on our defense. Worley was stellar - and even missed almost a 1/4 of play. North was double shadowed on passing downs. Our Oline and some questionable calls were decisive in the outcome - not to mention two fumbles. . Nah, it was a good game and the difference was 3 points, basically home field advantage. Call it poor play calling, I see it different. The biggest difference was the two fumbles.

You think Muschamp is going to attack Worley?

I think this will be bullet point one on their plan of attack. Just as it was for UGA.

I think Florida will not have as much success because their front seven is not as good, and this line is improving by the week.
