I'm the biggest UT fan because......

I have certain lights that have to be on in the house during a game (even the ones I attend).

I will change my shirt, depending on how the game is playing out.

My son's middle name is Peyton.

Had a dog named Neyland.

Made my son break up with his girlfriend because she was a bammer.

Wore small radio that fits in your ear during my best friend's wedding (I was a groomsman) because it was during the Georgia game in 99.

Asked the doctor to induce labor because the Georgia game ('98) was on in a couple of hours. (he said no, son was born 3 hours before kickoff)

I tear up when the T opens (friends and wife make fun of me for this one).

Most of all, I love UT regardless of record or coach. I will always support MY team.

Well I left the 1998 posts for a day. Gotta move on now. Let's just hope the next 14 posts aren't as heartbreaking as I suspect they might be.

Dooley hate finds its way into any thread.

I'm the biggest Vol fan because every time I see a persistent thread loaded with spite and worse, I think maybe I might as well become a USCw or Bama fan. Bases where such attitudes are inherent. But then, my brain assures me it will disown me and leave me a mindless zombie if I dare trying that. I listen to my orange soaked brain every time when this happens.

So you're the Gandhi of Volnation...
I'M THE BIGGEST BESTEST VOL FAN because I STAND ON THAT ORANGE WALL and say...."Nothing can hurt you tonight...not while I'm on watch"

Because I take losses way too hard to be a grown up. When Tennessee loses, I really am in a bad mood for about 72 hours.

The 2001 Georgia loss caused me to commit violence to my own home. Not because Tennessee lost, but the way they lost. I have since realized how dumb I was.

Those road crew realization sabbaticals have that kind of effect...I've heard :D

I kicked a table in my younger years that ended up hitting a guys girlfriend in the leg. That was 20+ years ago and I still feel terrible about it. I haven't done anything like that since. I still hate to lose. I'll just walk it off, get some perspective really quick and get back to the norm with the fam and take it for what it is.

Was that the year we fumbled at the 1 and they returned it 99 yds before halftime and then we pooched it at the end of the game and played prevent and SOMMA BEECH IT'S MAKING ME MAD ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

My Dad used to call Johnny Majors offense the "Prevent Offense". He has anger issues. While watching the Citrus Bowl against Michigan, he said Fulmer was running up the score and hoped UT lost because of it. In short, we think he may be insane.

Not a true fan IMO. You gave up your fan card the day you taught yourself to control your emotions and regain self-control.

Around here, if you're not kicking your dog or kicking over a bucket of lightbulbs, you're an amateur

When I was 21 I packed my stuff up in August and drove 8 hours from S AL to move to Knox just so I could get the hell away from all the idiot bammers and be closer to UT. I had no idea where I was gonna live. Found an apartment off 17th near campus on a Friday afternoon just before they closed. Didn't know the first person in Knox but quickly met plenty of people that bled orange instead of crimson. Some of the greatest times of my life. I found a way to sneak into Neyland and for about the first four or five Sundays I would go sit in the stadium by myself and read the newspaper and just soak it all in. I was truly in heaven! Made it to every home game that first season which was a pretty good one until we lost to lsu in the seccg smh. Ahhhh those were the days indeed.

Even though I may not attend a lot of games, I watch as many of the UT basketball (mens & women's) plus UT football games as possible when not traveling. Plus I've been watching UT sports for over 50 years plus my post count indicates I'm pretty loyal too! GO VOLS! I also wear orange and white whenever I can, sometimes twice a week and fly my Vol flag on the car when the football team plays. I have a Vol sticker on my bumper and a tag in my rear window of the car.
I'm East Tennessee born and bred.:dance2:
