Indianapolis Colts= 2007 World Champions

I would have laughed in your face if you told me Manning would be playing awful but still lead the Colts to the championship game.

I'd be laughing right along with you. :lolabove:

I'm currently rooting for the Pats to win... better matchup for Indy.

Well, I got what I wished for... Colts vs. Patriots in Indianapolis. Biggest game of Peyton Manning's career. I'm nervous already.

Peyton has to play better than the last two outings, but I feel pretty good about it. I think the Colts will be in the superbowl against the Bears.

it's definitely the chance to silence all his critics. if the pats play like they did today, the colts should roll, even w/ how they're playing offensively right now. but they play the games for a reason...

silencing his critics would be winning the Super Bowl. a win next Sunday would be a giant step in that direction.

well, getting to the super bowl would silence me for the time being. it would show he's making the next step. most know my feeling on manning and last night he was compared to john elway in a classic VN Manning battle. the thing w/ Elway is he proved early he could get to the SB. Manning still has to at least get there IMO.

Ah, the Colts are playing at home.

Now to beat the Patriots, first monkey, and then, hopefully, the Saints, second monkey..............Peyton........All-Time Great

I never compared Manning to Elway. I simply mentioned that Elway had a losing record in the Super Bowl and he is regarded by many as the most clutch player of all time.

i'm not starting this debate again, but you kept putting words in my mouth saying i only considered winning the super bowl a big game. i stated an AFC championship would be his next step and that would be a big game. that's why the fact that elway had a losing record in the super bowl can't be compared to the fact that peyton hasn't even made it there.

agreed. no excuses.
No excuses, play like a champion!

Well you guys... It's great if the Colts finally get on and get to a Super Bowl, and I'm sure you all want to see Peyton Manning be the lynchpin of success for Indy. But I really want to see Vinatieri beat New England at the last second. If that happened, I will be a truly happy man. Justice. Sweet, sweet justice.

We'll see though... New England might pull another playoff game out of their ass. AGAIN. :banghead2:

You said almost being there wasn't a big game. I assumed the AFC championship game would be included in that category. As for putting words in your mouth, I did ask you to clarify what you considered a big game several times.

For the record, I don't see that many similarities between Elway and Manning. They're both good QBs, but they're pretty different.
