Indianapolis Colts= 2007 World Champions

Now I really don't want to sound like a hater, but I'm just going to have to say, I don't see the Colts even touching the Super Bowl, let alone winning it, until Peyton can show that he can win the big game, which he hasn't proven to really anyone yet, because none of us has seen it.

I'm a Manning fan, for sure, and would love to see the guy win a Super Bowl ring one of these days, and maybe even pick up a Super Bowl MVP trophy, but realistically, I don't see him doing it until he can show up, and solidify/slicing and dicing defenses down the field with his amazing arm.

I believe in the man. He can do it in the regular season, now can he do it in the post-season? That's the question that has been on my mind for years now, and seems like the answer is no. Just think, at least they have a valuable kicker now in Adam Vinatieri, who has won three Super Bowls (Logically, of course he won the first two with the Pats where he booted the FG for the time to expire against my Rams, and the next to give the Carolina "Cats" three seconds to bare with, and the third..he put the Pats up 24-14 over the Eagles..the final being 24-21..if it wasn't for the extra three points, that game would have went on to overtime.)

Now, can Adam Vinatieri be the man that can bring the Colts a Super Bowl? He brung New England three of those suckers.

Vinatieri definitely brings some clutch kicking to the Colts, but he won't make a HUGE difference. The difference maker this year is going to have to be the running game and the defense. Peyton is going to be able to make plays to Marvin, Reggie, Stokely, and Clark when they need to... it's up to Addai and Rhodes to establish a running game, and the front seven on defense to stop the run. If they can improve in these two areas throughout the season, I'd say they have as good of a chance as anyone else in the NFL to win a Super Bowl.

I really hope to see it, tclowers23. There are just the clutch matters that Peyton just really needs to bring full-throttle with, here, in January. He's had a monkey on his back for quite a few years. So this could be the year that it might happen. But the question, could this be the year the Colts will win it all.

Big day for the Colts... they get to sit in their living rooms and watch NFL football all day. I'm betting Peyton will go watch Eli play though...

Peyton just got absolutely nailed while throwing a short pass to Addai. Someone took out his legs, while the other guy bent him backwards. His helmet popped off, and it looked like he may have hurt his back. Hope he's okay.

Well he came back in for the next play, so I guess he's alright. Isn't there some sort of penalty for clotheslining? That's definitely what happened to Manning.

Colts defeat Redskins 36-22 to move their record to 6-0. Peyton was back to his usual self, going 25-for-35, 342 yards, 4 TDs. Reggie had 7 catches for 122 yds and a TD. Marvin had 7 catches for 73 yds and 2 TDs. Addai rushed for 85 yards on just 11 carries and had one catch for 20 yards.

Addai looked very impressive when he got into a rhythm in the 3rd quarter.

McFarland played pretty good in his first game as a Colt. Raegor was in a car accident on the way to the game. All I know is he had a cut on the top of his head and he was still in the hospital. Hopefully he'll be fine.

Next week: @ Denver Broncos

Peyton wasn't nominated for the Sunday stud thing they always do. Somehow, Michael Vick was, even though he threw for less yards. I guess since Vick has never thrown 3 TDs they had to celebrate it.

Yeah, plus people feel sorry for Vick because of his STD problem. Just kidding... but seriously, Peyton should've been up for this award. He played lights out... especially in the 3rd quarter.

I just now realized that me and you (kptvol) both have Travis Stephens as our avatar. He's my favorite Vol... but you had his pic first.... I'll start looking for a different pic.

Unless... that's not Jabari Davis, is it??? I don't think it is....

Mine is definitely Travis Stephens. It's a pick of him running around a diving Gator in 2001. He's definitely one of my favorite Vols as well. Not many guys have carried an entire UT season on their back the way he did that year. You don't have to change your avatar; it doesn't bother me. That guy doesn't get enough credit, anyway.

I agree... when people talk about great UT tailbacks, they tend to leave Stephens out for some reason. I guess only because he didn't make it in the NFL... but that shouldn't matter. At UT, he was a stud. They should've played Miami in the National Championship that year. Okay... can't think about that...

Peyton was named Player of The Week today by the NFL. Also Montae Reagor will have surgery today at Methodist Hospital to repair a facial bone fracture he suffered in a Sunday auto accident. He's hoping to return this season. Another HUGE blow for our defense. We've already got Sanders injured and Doss out for the season. :(

I have nothing to add about Indy, but I would like to take this opportunity to complement Rocky Top on his choice of avatar.:naughty:

I guess there's some good news. Bob Sanders is expected to play this weekend against the Broncos. Aso, McFarland stepped in nicely at DT versus the Redskins. He should help the defense out a lot. There's just no depth at all.
