Indianapolis Colts= 2007 World Champions

congrats to peyton. glad he finally got over the big game hump. just wish he would've done it as a vol. it was a huge step for him. i didn't think he could do it. played smart tonight other than the pick six. it wasn't about stats.

Classy post.

Probably, since more is expected from him being the face of the NFL, all the commercials, etc.

Both of them will hear their share, though. Especially Grossman considering how disgustingly awful he's managed to play in some games this season.

I think it will be Manning hands down.
Exactly. Everyone will expect Grossman to play terribly. On a side note, there are a couple of really ironic twists to this one. Manning has to beat a team with a Florida QB to win a title and Grossman will be facing his home state team.

Well... I will take my cue on this one from the World Series. From the all star break on, everybody expected the team representing the AL to take the NL champs in 4/5 games. See how that turned out.

I love you too Buisness.

HAHAHA

Where's Jake?
:wavey: right here.

i will give credit where credit is due. As bad as they were in the 1st half, they were equally as good on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half. obviously, i didn't give them much of a chance based on the 1st half play.

but kudos to TOny Dungy and the Colts whole team.

i think Dungy should get a ton of credit for not losing at half time.........he kept it together and it translated on to the feild. and finally PM and company stepped up.........that was about as good a 1/2 of football as i've ever seen. Hat was talking about this being the 2nd greatest conf. champ. game...i don't know where it ranks...but it's up there for me with The Drive, The Catch etc......PM finally had his signature game.

so congrats to the colts and manning. i really am glad they won.........

QFT.

I was impressed that Manning was able to turn it around and play well after the pick 6 he threw. When that happened I thought the wheels were going to come off.

I hope the Colts win the Superbowl.

You and anyone else breathing.

After that pass, I was sure the game was over.

but i sure was pissed early on. man i hate the patriots. and in my defense........history had told me that the colts would fold...........sometimes i really enjoy being wrong.:)
I wasn't very happy either. The Colts just looked terrible that first half and I didn't think they had any chance at all. But Peyton did what he had to do, the rest of the team stepped up and the ball finally started bouncing Indy's way.

I certainly thought it was over when the Colts were punting with about 3:40 left in the game...

it didn't look good that's for sure. i for one thought it was poetic justice. Manning drives down for a gw TD against the pats to go to the super bowl.

Brady, captain comeback, the golden chile, mr. do no wrong.....has one last chance.........and throws a pick so the colts can seal it. b e a u tiful.:birgits_giggle:

I did to. It is funny how things turn out, Manning is getting great props from everyone for that terrific last drive. But if the Patriots make a first down on the previous drive, Manning probably never gets another chance. His last drive would have been the one where he went 3 and out and looked awful.

Yeah, it kind of looked like he just gave up on that series.

What worried me the most was Brady having 1:00 to go down the field. It was a great game.

It was a great game. So many small things that happened that meant so much.

O-lineman falling on fumbles for TD's
Reggie Wayne's fumble and recovery in mid air
Patriots with too many men in the huddle penalty.

That last one was huge, Colts may not get the ball back if not for that penalty.

Oddly, Brady was picked off by another former Wolverine, Marlin Jackson. The Colts have a lot of Big 10 guys back in their secondary. Bob Sanders is from Iowa and Mike Doss is from Ohio State. Maybe that's why they struggle sometimes.

Colts: 23
Bears: 20

Marvin Harrison: 2 TD catches, MVP

Marvin has been pretty average in the playoffs so far, but based on what Steve Smith did to the Bears last year in the playoffs, I think Harrison could have a huge day. I could definitely see him as the MVP.

I only have one thing to say.............I hope I don't die from lack of air. If the Colts can get their special teams in gear, maybe, just maybe I can breathe. If they play like they did, this last week, it is good.........if we stop on special teams. If the Colts give so many yards on kick offs and punts.....Peyton better throw for 500+ yards. I love the stance the defense has taken, but the Colts CAN NOT allow the Bears to get as many yards on special teams as the Pats did.

all due respect to MH...but he and steve smith are two different types of receivers. i have no doubt in MH big play ability, don't get me wrong........

but smith is a guy that goes and gets it....fairly physical for his size....and great leaper.

their physical attributes are what makes them different....i don't see MH having a similar type performance, PHYSICALLY. stats wise, he could , no doubt.

but most teams have proven in the playoffs they can take him away. he was a non factor last week, from a catches/yds/td standpoint. his biggest benefit to the offense thus far has simply been being on the feild so they have to devote two guys to his side of the feild.
