Between this, buzzfeed and numerous other misreported situations, we really have to evolve as a society in not believing a single thing the media puts out until it is corraborrated ten fold by very different outlets. It's time. There are pockets of people that live by that rule but it has to become the norm now.
I could care less if they chanted it at this point. They had four black people yelling racist remarks to them long before the political activist showed up with his drum.I'll go back and edit the original post with the new information when I can get to my computer. The lengthened video changes the narrative completely and I'm not afraid to admit that it completely negates my original thoughts.
I'll also see if I can separate and clean up the audio; I believe I did hear "build that Wall" as some others here did. That will likely have to wait until after church and lunch (lest I suffer Wrath of the Wife).
Whoa. I went thru the whole rebuttal twitter thread and watched the video. I’d encourage people to watch the other videos. There’s a bunch of video evidence supporting the kids version of events. The actual timeline is hard since it multiple videos. But there are multiple clips of the NA’s approaching the kids. And at one point the kid shown smiling in the very first video is obviously trying to get away and not smiling or even looking at him anymore.
Gonna guess more information comes out over time and we’ll get the real version. But the initial account is very much in question right now.
My guess is there are three sides to the story. I don't fully buy an unsigned version of a story where an American kid from Kentucky uses a metric system term to describe distance.
