Yes they were attacked. They had their faces put all over social media and were being doxxed for something they didn’t do. Instead of people waiting five ****ing minutes to hear the whole story, they were being treated like they were members of the Einsatzgruppen.

Funny how the script flips when the narrative goes from white kids attacking poor minorities to what the actually truth in all this was. It’s ******** and people should be held accountable for passing this off as news and ruining an innocent young adults life for no reason other than pushing a narrative.

The only thing that changes is which Money Making Media outlet takes in the ad revenue.

The news cycle has nothing to do with informing the viewer, it has everything to do with lining the coffers of the shareholders.

Want to see this cycle end? Enact laws that make news not-for-profit. Remove the incentive to be first and inflammatory.

Until there's correction from any news source I would sue them for defamation.

Lets be real here the kids got called racist names by a black guy and had a Native American walk up wanting to start some chit.

All because he had a Trump hat on.

Agreed. But calling him names and being the face of a sensational story doesnt equate to a ruined life.

Kid may become the next honest newsman because of this crap.

Au contraire. I am very much a fan of free speech and freedom of the press. I see the infection of profitability-over-all-else into news media as the cancer that has divided our country more than any other ill.

And your preferred solution is to abridge the freedom of the press?

And to do so would be to ignore the plain fact that profit isn't the only motive for biased reporting. Non-profit news agencies would be every bit as slanted.
