Ingram wins Heisman!

Congrats Ingram, you showed that you could bring class to a classless state. Im sure everyone in Michigan is proud of ya.

Gerhart can't hold Ingram's jock.

Only blind, involuntary hatred of Alabama would cause someone to think otherwise.

Absolutely right. I'm beginning to think everybody wanted Gerhart to win because he is white.

The same people that tout Gerhart as better than Ingram because of stats and because he was dominant week in and week out would also be the first to trash USC's accomplishments because they are in the Pac 10 and say they wouldn't win squat in the SEC.

Yet, somehow they can't see the hypocrisy in saying that Gerhart deserves it over a guy who played very well against multiple top 25 defenses including the #1 Defense in the country. How many top-ranked defenses did Gerhart dominate?

The Hypesman is a joke but this time they actually got it right. The only injustice this year is that Tebow got invited over CJ Spiller so ESPN could do their fluff piece with him and McCoy.

People think gerhart should have won, because he should have won.

Ingram is a great player and a good guy and I am happy for him.

dumb

He's a good back but he's too slow. Came from high school rated as a fullback.

The son of former NFL Giants and Michigan State wide receiver Mark Ingram will be a four-year varsity starter the first three for Grand Blanc and the last for Flint Southwestern Academy; Ingram is a nine-time All-State track star as well. He runs a 10.69 100m and a 21.9 200m. His best long jump is 23-8.

This year the PAC 10 was better. Gerhart has 4.5 speed and runs over people every play. USC recruited him for a reason.

Toby Gerhart Stanford 6-1 235 4.60

I hate Ingram but had to set the record straight.

That's ridiculous.

Ndamukong Suh is the best player in college football.

Gerhart was the only thing Stanford had on offense. He dominated the defenses he went against.

Ingram has an NFL caliber OL to run behind. He fumbled in the clutch against Tennessee. Where was he at during the comeback against Auburn? On the bench. He was injured, yes but if he's as dominant as Gerhart or Suh, Bama loses. Bama never really skipped a beat with him on the bench. Richardson was the one getting them back in the game. McElroy also had his breakout against the Barn.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ingram is a helluva football player. However, he also played on the best team and had a much better supporting cast then Suh or Gerhart.

Ingram also showed an amazing amount of class in his speech. I wish him the best , however the Heisman should have went to Suh with Gerhart a close second.

Suh was the best player in the country, but like someone else said, as long as Tebow didn't win it, I'm good.

I predict that Texas wins the BCSNCG. Next year, Bama either loses the SECCG or misses going to ATL by virtue of a conference loss to an SEC West school. The Bammers will be complaining that Saban cannot win them the big one at about the same time that some other once nationally relevant program offers him 1.5x what he gets from Bama and he bolts.

For those of you offering congrats to Mark, thanks. Mark didn't have the greatest stats but they very well may have been if CNS left him in three cupcake games to pad stats. He even stated before the presentation that if Mark didn't win that it would be his fault for NOT padding his stats. Mark very well may have had as impressive or more impressive stats if he didn't have a stud in Richardson behind him. Gerhart had 60 more carries for 194 more yards(3.5+/- per carry).Gerhart was very deserving and I personally thought he would win. The Heisman has lost alot of its prestige to when Woodson won over Manning. We all know he got jobbed that year. I don't McCoy or Tebow were deserving because it is supposed to be based on the year and not career. Suh, I thought though he is a beast, wasn't really in the race as a legit contender because the game doesn't revolve around a defensive player like it does a QB or RB.
