Interesting Phil Steele Rankings

Well of course backs are tired by the 3rd or 4th quarter if they carry a lot, some more than others. I still think there's some room for improvement as far as Foster and conditioning goes though.

Of course, you could say that for almost all the players.

I'm just looking forward to seeing him after another year of working out and practicing.

I think a huge key for success of Fosters ground game this coming season is a solid blocking fullback. He''l most likely run most of the time between the tackles and you gotta have a good fundamentally sound blocking fullback to kick out the defensive end. Can Corey get it done?

Foster reminds me of James Stewart. Same upright running style and more of a bruiser than a burner. Though both had/have good game speed.

Eddie George as well.

I'm pretty sure that Anderson can do that. The only thing that people think about when they think of Anderson is that fumble in the Bama game. He was protecting the ball, it was just a good helmet to ball hit that loosened it up.

He's also had a few dropped passes but he'll get used to catching the ball. He was a DE before FB right?

I think that his blocking was pretty good last year and it should only get better. He has the abilities to be a really good FB this season if he can slow his mind down and perform the basics before anything else.

I think you hit the nail on the head. He tries to hard...he needs to slow his mind down and when a opponent does a 1000 to 1 thing like a helmet on the ball causing a fumble, he needs to forgive himself and try again. You run that same play 1000 times and id bet it wouldnt happen that way again. Hes looking to run with the passes before he catches them....I really think he'll mature this off season and calm down. If he does he'll be a hoss. Im not sure about him being a prior DE...his size would suggest it. Man when that fullback kicks out the DE nice after the guard/tackle slam the DT...the way the Vols back going through that hole looks awesome when its executed right. :superman:
