BTO knows what he's talking about, he is in contact with REAL people with REAL information. If you read his posts carefully, he never claims anything as fact or etched in stone. He just presents what he heard, and says "That would be awesome if it happens."

On the other hand, you spout off claims and present no supporting evidence or any shred of credibility.

Not like i make a dumb statement about someone never sniffing a NBA court, then when he's drafted deny ever saying that, just to have the evidence thrown in my face.

BTO gets this sick fixation on people who disagree with him, and I seem to be the premeire member of his "hall of obsessions". Dude has 9 billion posts on a message board in 6 months, and 2/3 of them are about me. It's hard to tell whether he hates me (Steve Bushemi in Billy Madison style) or loves me (Single White Female style).

I'll totally call BTO out when he makes outlandish claims. We have disagreed before, but when BTO claims something, he either has evidence or acknowledges that it's only speculation.

And I have agreed with you on some things in the past (though I may not have posted my agreeance :)).

C'mon man. I was wrong about Will Barton, my own player, and I'm glad I was. What's the big deal? You act like this is a personal coup d'etat, and you blow a load in your pants whenever you think you've "got me". But I didn't say anything, I took the lumps. I was wrong about Barton.

Nobody came back here parading around your predictions that UT was going to make the dance, even when I cautioned you not to count your chickens. You know why? Because normal people on messageboards don't obsess over things like this.

See there's the difference, you made a comment I called you out on and showed you evidence. You now are making up BS on me and I'll challenge you to find the post that I said UT was going to make the dance. I said it was a possibility, but I admitted it was a long shot and probably not likely, never did I predict them to make it.

So what's weird or actually sad, is that you make things up that I've never said. That's why I pick at you, nobody else, because I don't like you. You have this attitude about you that you think you're better than everyone and everyone should believe you and hail to you. Yet the crap you spew is 99% BS and is inaccurate and never turns out to be true. It's bad enough when vol fans make stuff up and act like trolls, but when a memphis state fan comes on here acting like you do, just flat out arrogant and wrong almost constantly, it rubs people the wrong way, especially me.

The kicker is when you come on here to tell us chievous is in the hospital basically paralyzed and dismissed from the team, none of which turned out true. Then you decide that UT isn't even involved with Nichols recruitment, priceless. You just come off as an arrogant troll.

C'mon man. No wonder I didn't believe you about the Barton stuff when you make up stuff like this. And when I tell you that UT, or another school is not involved, or is the leader for a particular recruit, it's because they are. Things change in recruiting a lot. There was a time that UT was not involved in Nichol's recruitment (I know this is a shock to you since you've only been following basketball for the last 6 months). Things change.

When I tell you flat-out that so and so will be Vol (like I did with Stokes), or will be a Tiger (like I did with Thomas, but before you were a basketball fan) or a Golden Eagle (like I did with Duane Wilson), you can bank on it. All the rest is speculation.

But I'm glad the Barton stuff gave you something to brag to your mom about at the dinner table. I'm sure she thinks that you're such a big boy now.

I'll just go ahead and call you out on one thing to keep it simple for you, Tennessee has been involved with Nichols recruitment from day 1. Nichols was CCMs main guy when he got the job here a year and a half ago. You made the comment about UT not being in the mix last year, after Nichols had ALREADY taken visits to Tennessee and had mentioned Tennessee as one of the schools on him the hardest. Brilliant call.

There's a reason you're the laughing stock of this site and when you post stuff people roll their eyes and ignore it.

I'm done arguing with you, you are the reason Memphis fans get such a bad rap, what an embarrassment.

Canes....is CJP recruiting Nichols pretty hard? I know Hubbs is on their radar but I haven't heard much in regards to Memphis and Nichols...figured you'd be able to shed some light.

Not canes but...pastner seems to be trying to get back in the mix. I don't see Nichols going there, but it seems like pastner is still trying pretty hard, can't blame him. Nichols visited not long ago, and his mom graduated from Memphis so you can see the draw Memphis could have.

Doesn't seem like he is. I think the writing is on the wall, so to speak. Nichols is leaving town and Pastner understands that. He's still keeping tabs on Nichols mostly because Nichols is a hometown kid. If Nichols has a change of heart, Pastner would take him in a heartbeat, but he's spending more time on other big guys.

Interesting. I figured that to be the case. It was just odd to me that he grew up a fan, lives in the area, and family has ties but he keeps looking at away schools so getting out of town is pretty obvious. I'm really hoping his sister has a lot of pull over him (you'd figure) and hopefully a couple of people are in his ears.

Memphis doesn't have a strong rep for landing in-city private school kids like Nichols.

From the circles I run in, it's a two horse race at this point for him. Florida leads (reports range from "he's nearly a UF lock" to "only a little ahead of UT") from what most people who know those around him say, again take it with a grain of salt.

He sounds like he's waiting til the Spring to declare, which, if you believe the reports about which way he is leaning, is only a good thing for UT. CCM gets a season to impress Nichols with his team's play. A good year out of teh Vols could easily sew him up.

Duke is more involved than the other schools on his list, save UT and UF. They can easily work their way into the picture. He's got some weird interest in Tony Bennett and UVA, which I think is odd, but they're right there in the second teir with Duke. Then Memphis, UNC, Mizzou, etc. are in the picture and could move up if things break, but I wouldn't bet on it. I can't even believe the kid gives Coach Frank Haith at Mizzou the time of day.
