I have an HTC incredible bought last Christmas and with the WiFi turned off the battery may last only up to about 8 hours of on and off use. It's not as simple as "oh its not that hard for me to charge overnight."

It's why I'm going to iPhone for the next device.

Are you using a task manager? if you are, stop.

The iPhone is great. you're doing exactly what I tell people to do all the time. find a phone that fits you. that being said the htc incredible isn't exactly the standard bearer of android.

FYI you know your phone consumes more battery on network versus wifi right?

I like my iphone a lot,and it gets great reception,but iOS isn't as powerful IMO as Android is.Multitasking sucks on the iphone,and programs don't run in the back ground nearly as smooth.

I hate the look of Motorola phones,and all the HTC Droids get poor reception where I live (i'm in a fringe area) so that's why I have the iphone it gets the best call reception,and it's build quality is second to none,but again Android is much more open and more of a geek phone for people like myself who tinker with things and change things around. That's just my opinion though,and don't take me as an Apple hater because I'm typing this with an Apple keyboard and a Mac Mini with a 27" Thunderbolt monitor that's charging my ipad and my ipod nano...:)

Have owned:

Droid (hate the physical kb and ugly)
Droid X (too big!)
Incredible (pretty good phone)
Incredible 2 (poorest reception I've ever had with a phone and cheap looking)
iphone (excellent reception,and will get the next iphone)

I have a 3G and I love it. Although I don't fool around with apps much. Mainly talking, texting, and the occasional internet. Most reliable phone I've ever had.

that's a win for android phones. Not everyone wants or can afford the same thing in a smart phone. The market speaks

If you can't afford it settle for less? Makes sense. Why is the entire android market with numerous manufacturers & a new model every week compared to a single company with a new phone once a year? A portion of the market speaks that is irrelevant. Apple hasn't lost a thing.

Like Nintendo, Apple has a niche market. Doesn't make them the best, doesn't make them the worst. Just makes them lots of money. ;)

Might be crossing over to the dark side and getting a GS2 in a couple of weeks. I wanna change things up. Still plan on keeping my 4S though.

After having the iPhone for over a month, I can see myself staying with the iPhone in the future, though that could always change by the time I can upgrade again

it really does if you think about it. Some people want a smart phone but can't/don't want to pay the premium Apple puts on their products. Android phones with many manuf give them flexibility. If you want the best of the bunch then you still have to pay for it

I dont have a droid phone, but I recently purchased a Android Tablet and I like it better than the IPAD2.......and my tablet is a freakin Asus lol
