iPhone vs. Droid

One of the most recent rumors I saw had the iPhone6 casing staying about the same size and extending the screen to a 16:9 ratio. Bigger but still easily operated with one hand.

I would provide a link but I can't remember where I saw it and it's now lost in the sea of rumors.

I owned a 3GS for well over a year and went back and forth between jailbroken and iOS a number of times. Thanks for playing.

Jailbroken doesn't change the basic iOS my god. It's not like you're putting an entirely different OS on there when you jailbreak.

Depends entirely on who you're talking to. I wholly prefer Android OS to iOS because I recognize that regardless of jailbreaking, Droid is far more capable, and I have quite a few years experience with both as proof to myself.

No. Most of the current Droid models are spec'd much, much better than the 4S. It's the same story as with computers; there are many legitimate reasons one should buy an Apple: Customer and warranty service, OS ease of use, sleek looks etc. But superior hardware and performance is in no way one of them, and it CANNOT be argued otherwise. The FACTS say otherwise.

Depends on what you're comparing it to. I can find some Androids that are empirically proven as more reliable and durable, some about the same, and some worse. I had a few problems with my iPhone, on the other hand, I've a Droid that never gave me a single issue, one that had a couple spots of trouble, and one that was a piece of crap.

That I will not dispute. Customer service and warranties are damn near unbeatable.

I understand why the iPhone is the single best-selling smartphone model out there, but I can be realistic about its strengths and weakness.

It's called being reasonable and recognizing facts and logic. Try it out sometime.

It alters the OS and the general nature of the phone, that's my point.

I don't get why you'd do that though, if you need the functionality or features that means you need to jailbreak your iPhone, it indicates that:

1) You're not part of the set it and forget it crowd that comprise the overwhelming portion of Apple consumers
2) That being the case, I'd advise you to just spend the same amount on a Droid platform that will have twice the CPU ability, twice the graphical capability and twice the memory

I just downloaded an app simply titled Free Music. Has its own browser. I just go to MP3skull.com and search for what I want.

If you are connected to a wireless network it takes literally seconds to download the song.

No you're a moron. You used a 3GS to try & prove an argument. A phone that's 3 years old. Hell it's still probably better than most droids. Then you compare the 4s to the newest droids. At least use your self proclaimed logic to make like comparisons. iOS vs whatever google is running, that will vary from device to device doesn't even matter. If a droid makes you feel smarter because you think it's more complexed then by all means stick with that. You need all the smarts you can get. Lol. Even though you broke everything down I'm not sure where your facts are. You need to start posting links with everything because you just make s*** up.

I know that. People might take you seriously if you weren't patronizing all the time to people you disagree with. I also own a new iPad, which I think should be a little more comparable to current machines, if that satisfies your requirements for me to post in this thread.

The 4S is the current top model of iPhones, and I compared it against the current top model of Droid. If you want it that way, fine, but even the last gen of Droids still spec better than the 4S. I clearly had too much faith in you to know that.

What am I making up? I said I've owned a 3GS and currently own a new iPad, and from the experience of that, I said I personally find the Droid OS to be far more capable. That's my opinion. I never said it was a fact, I said it was my observation.

Show me the specs. Tell me how droid OS is more capable. If you're just saying it its just your opinion. You're the one came in here & started. If you're gonna compare do apples to apples. A phone released about the same time as the 4s would make more sense.

it's just funny. I remember a while back he was railing on big corporations while shilling for Apple in this thread. I'm also guessing the Nexus comparison will be negated since it wasn't released the same week as the iphone but at least I tried to help Dr CC

Or that if Android releases a 5" screen phone, its a gimmick.....................but a future Apple 4" screen would be awesome

I've replaced my iPhone and the same problem exists. I think it's the website, eBay, and not the phone
