iPhone vs. Droid

I like the Willie Nelson Peach Cobbler ice cream. Hard to find sometimes though.

I read a lot of comparison reviews and have yet to see a droid that has an all around better performing camera than the iPhone 4s. Some do better in certain light but worse in other light. Over all iPhone usually is still better in that dept than the top line Droids.

I use my camera a lot so that is more important TO ME than any widget.

I'm looking forward to WWDC to as well.

to each their own but I would never make a smartphone choice based on the camera. I have a very nice camera for that purpose that easily outdoes any phone

the shots I've seen from the S3 are pretty good though

It wasnt the deciding factor between iphone and droid but it was between $99 4 or the $199 4s. There are other reasons I like my iphone as well which ive discussed 30 pages back. And clearly any SLR camera is superior to any smartphone camera but as far as point and shoot, my iPhone takes just as good pictures, if not better in many cases, than my 12mp cannon point and shoot I bought last year. I like being able to carry one device that is capable of taking high quality pictures and the fact that Ive always got it in me. Having the photo stream push the pictures to other devices is handy too. iPhone is lacking a true zoom which is the only drawback for me when comparing to a point and shoot.

iOS 6 disappointed me. Their new Maps app looks a little second rate. I doubt it'll be as good as Google. Right now at least. The only thing I really liked were the Siri updates, Facebook integration and Do Not Disturb.

Actually word is that New Google Maps and new iphone maps are very similar but that mac maps were much cleaner and smoother. I think the fact that everything kind of runs seemlessly together is pretty big deal. And to be able to silence a call and have it automatically send you a reminder to call back when you leave your location? Really nice. Look forward to seeing the new iphone

Im just curious to see how the new Maps will react to searching local establishments in other places than San Fran. They said over 100m businesses. But there are a lot more than that. I rarely even use the Maps app anyways so it doesn't matter to me.

You're probably right. I had heard rumors of July but looks like that's unlikely. They're just releasing iOS 6 beta & won't release the new iPhone until its ready which was said likely this fall.

Might just be me but I'm so tired of the same UI. I was hoping for some type of enhancement with iOS 6. It seems like Apple has gotten lazy since Jobs passing. The stuff shown today looks good and all but I felt like it was missing something. The supposed leaked iPhone 5 parts show an exact same format just a couple of inches taller (to support a 4in screen). Just disappointed in the lack of change.

it's the system that tends to ignore age demographics and is universally praised for capability vs user friendliness and you want it changed so you can have something new? That makes no sense.

It's time for you to get a droid or a windows phone if you ate tired of the interface. It will be a long time before there is a major shift in iOS.

Speaking of droid, I noticed in the grocery store they had these cheap prepay phones that ran some form of droid on them. No wonder their market share is so big. They whore their OS out to anyone.

I didn't say I wanted it completely redone. Just a nice refresh of the current system.

Could you be more specific as to what you're tired of. Being jailbroke you should be able to change things up drastically from time to time of that's what you want.
