iPhone

I went to Tmo yesterday to trade in my SE for a 7. I actually hate the home button and that dongle thing seemed like it would be a pain in the butt trying to swipe a card with my Square reader attached to it, so I actually ended up trading for a 6S. I'll probably keep this one until the 8 or whatever.

I still may get a 7 for my wife if she likes it, but she wasn't with me and I really don't think she cares anyways lol.

I went by the Apple Store in West Town this afternoon. There were probably 75 people in the store on a waiting list to speak with an employee.

Then I cut through Sears to go to the food court. I saw 6 employees and 3 customers.

I have 6 plus and I figure it may have something to do with me dropping it a time or two but it's always been on my floor which is carpeted, anywho, it will occasionally say "No Sim". Anybody else have this problem and if so what did you do to fix it?

It will pop up and say that and within two minutes go back to running just fine.

Maybe pop the SIM out and back in again? Maybe it has some dust on it or something

Im just glad they got rid of the glass on the back. I went thru quite a few 4s'

I agree. My first iPhone was a 5c (loved it), then got a 6, then an SE, and now a 6s. I dropped the SE into my cup holder and cracked the bottom back glass. I then realized why they got rid of that trash design. My 6 was cool but started having problems connecting a charger. My new 6s is sweet and I don't think I'm going to get a 7. Probably wait till the 8 comes out.

Thanks man, I'll try that. I figured it was something simple to do. I have insurance on it but as expensive as these things are I wasn't willing to try anything and screw if up lol but as simple as that is I can do that lol

Thanks again.

I was thinking about getting a 7 myself but I'm like you, I like my 6. I know you get an adapter with it but a lot of time I like to charge and watch stuff on my Netflix app when I'm in bed at night with my ear buds. I don't know how I'd feel about not having a headphone jack.

I've had a sim card go bad before. Over the course of a few days my phone would randomly say no sim then fix itself. Eventually it just got stuck on no sim. I took it to get looked at and just needed a new sim card. It was a $10 fix.

This was what I was wondering about and afraid may happen. May just go to Verizon and get it done and try to avoid all that. I try to be very careful with it, iPhones ain't cheap lol

Another small issue with that adapter thing. I use a Square reader to run credit cards, and it now plugs into the headphone jack, making it sturdy and easy to swipe, one hand holding the phone, the other hand swiping the card. It seems like it would be difficult to hold the phone, card reader from moving around, and swiping the card. Just another little issue with the phone imo.

I had the same issue with my Samsung. The sim cards can randomly and annoyingly go bad. The good thing is they're $10 and can be easily replaced. The Verizon employee just has to tear open a new sim card and activate it. It takes no more than 5 minutes.

Thanks for the advice fellas. Haven't had it happen for going on 2 days now. But I'm gonna go get it fixed since it's a cheap fix.

It may have already been discussed but I'd like a weather app that I can just glance at my phone and see the current temp.

Is there such a thing or will I be required to keep opening my weather channel app to get the current conditions?

Thank you

There is a widget for TWC and you can move it to the top of the widgets. From the lock screen (or home screen, or notifications screen) you just swipe to the left.
