I never got a new case when I upgraded from the 6 to the 7. Had it sitting on a banaster at the top of my split case stair case. Phone started ringing and the vibration made it move to edge and fall off, dropping about 10ft to the lower steps, which are hardwood.

Not a scratch.







Now that I've told that story I will probably drop it from less than 2 ft and shatter it.

Ha! That's crazy. If I do use a case, it's a Peel case. Not very protective for drops, but good for scratches and you can't even tell it's on the phone.

I'm finally trying the dark side and getting a 7 Plus. I was the long time hold out in my family and group of friends.

I switched to an Android phone after my Blackberry curve. Had Samsung Galaxies up thru the 5, then switched to a Nexus thru the 6p. I loved, LOVED stock Android but the early shutdown bug in the 6P and Google's/Huawei's response proved to be the final straw.

Any tips on migrating?

If most of your friends and family have iPhones, you will be good to go. FaceTime, messenger makes testing faster. Honestly, once you get an iPhone you'll wonder why you didn't years ago

My dad and I are literally the last hold outs. (He sends texts maybe once every 3 months so his what he uses is basically irrelevant).

The others are all quite happy.

I hope Apple brings there A-game. I have been looking at the galaxy note 8 that is quite impressive. Plus a deal to get a free wireless charger and a 128 memory card

Cracked my screen this weekend. I was sitting in a folding chair and it slipped out of my pocket. Fell about 1.5" to the sidewalk and hit just the right spot on the corner I guess.

Upgrading to "The Edition" for me will depend on trade in value and/or cost of fixing the screen before trade in.

Looking forward to the unveiling tomorrow.

I normally go back and forth every other year between IPhone and Galaxy, but there is no way in hell I am paying 1400 for a phone. I am more excited to see the new Apple TV and watch.

I've heard $1000 for "the edition"... but there will be 7s/8 model too.
