$1000 for 64 GB iPhone X (ten)?!? No 128GB option then 1400 for 256 GB?!?

No thanks. It looks cool but I have 128GB on my 7. Would rather have the extra storage than the fancy features I would barely use.

Camera features are nice but are they really worth cost? Not to me.

I like that the iPhone 8 has the wireless charging. That's literally the only reason to the the X other than the edge to edge and I can live without that

Actually I think it's sneaky smart. They've taken features that probably would have come out in a year or two anyways and made them must haves for the fan boys because of the price and exclusivity. They get to put them into lower rate production and work out the issues and refine the designs. And they'll get some people to buy because it's Apple. Then they can roll the features out next year or the year after in the lower tier phones and everyone will want to upgrade for the previously exclusive features.

Not only that, but the wireless charging pads won't be available until some time in 2018 anyway. If you drop for the X at launch, and wireless charging is a driver for you, you won't get to use your capability for several months.

Well the 8 has the wireless charging too so I'm not sure what the driving factor for the X is other than the edge to edge screen. Facial Recognition to unlock? Meh.... Touch ID already works great.

Also wireless charging sounds great in theory but it's not all that practical in practice. It has to sit on the charging pad so it limits using the phone while charging. In a sense it's still wired charging just not through the dedicated port. It's also a lot slower than directly plugging in. I think that is why Apple has held out for so long on "wireless". The tech isnt quite there. This really seems like a tacked on appeasement for the criticism they are behind on it.

Apple has a patent for a true wireless charging using an iMac to send the charge through the air somehow. That will be the breakthrough if they get it working and selling Air Chargers instead of iMacs.

Pretty sure it's using QI which is widely available. Now, if you want to throw away money and get an apple logo on your wireless charging pad, you'll have to wait.

They use standard Qi charging pads. The Apple mat that charges multiple devices at once a won’t be out until next year.

I want a bigger screen than the 7/8 but the form factor of the Plus is just too big for me. It’s too wide. The X will give me the larger screen in a form factor that’s easier to hold, much like the S8+.

Still have a 6plus. Wish it had the newer cameras but otherwise I'm probably not upgrading unless some smoking deal comes along to do it hella cheap. Have a single large crack in the screen that isn't worth fixing but kills my trade value.

The fact of the matter is there just aren’t that many must-have features in phones from year-to-year anymore.

I have two phones. I’m going to give the X a shot to be my main phone but I’ll probably use the S8+ as my other line. The S8+ is a really good phone (Best on the market right now imo) and the screen is fantastic. But I always get sucked in by the lure of a new iPhone. Lol.

I’m kind of a phone nerd. It’s sort of a hobby for me.

I'm actually more interested in a watch for the first time. My wife got one a few months ago and loves it. I just haven't been Le to justify it but it would be nice to leave the phone behind sometimes without completely going off the grid LOL.
